General Progress

After three hours, I've finally finished unpicking my squirtle top so I can get the pattern.

Woo progress I've been putting off for a year ~~and now I know why~~ 1/4 and it took me a couple of hours D8 Bah only so much I can do with clay and uber shaky hands.

Haha yeah it is, I was meant to finish her for the auckgeddon contest with my Silmeria and Hrist but we procrastinated too much and ran outa time and money. I have most of the armour done and the fabric just needs sewing and painting. So it's about halfway done >>

Friday night was the deadline to get at least a decent outfit together, and it worked out pretty well. Aside from the trousers were a bit baggy/big, was reasonably happy with result: https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v625/dark_chichi2/DSC_0341.jpg [only photo i have atm -> I in the red vest]

That looks really good! Shaky hands are so annoying for sculpting, painting too. Mine drive me nuts sometimes.

Haven't posted one of these in a while (or even posted), I probably should now that I'm actually making progress though Razz

War's Left shin, right bicep, and left shoulder thrown together in cardboard. Need to get some foam so I can do more.

I bought my new Costume Fabric today...Bright Pink Tulle, Purple Satin and Baby Pink Tulle Very Happy

Just need Baby Pink Fabric Paint and burnt orange shoes and its all done Very Happy

Now, to making the pattern! Very Happy

Try bracing your you hands/wrist/arms against you legs/desk.

I could also list all the Old Wives as well...

I finished (my intereptation on) the Bersek Armour version/style of Guts Dragon Slayer (I'm looking for a suitable 'holster ring' however).
I had to repaint some of the blade as originally I used the hammer/beaten metal paints, but since I had already added "battle damage" of my own. I have also gone with the "light" colour scheme. Blood was also add to capture the dark violence of the the sword (and character). - If anyone is interested in my recipe for blood, I'll be glad to post it.

recently started working on Ange again, I finsihed painting her armband which wasn't terribly difficult and now I'm working on the skirt.. but I maybe finsih the bow first.. jacket will come last though

My friend came back from Oz and had gone craft shopping over there. She brought lots of beads and stuff I can hopefully use with my Eternal Sailor Moon cosplay but the best thing is that she also gave me opera length satin gloves that I can definitely use with Moon!!! So happy right now!!

I've also ordered a couple of fabric samples for the elusive holographic fabric I need, so far I've had no luck but I still have my fingers crossed.

And happy days! The person that is making my Moon wig finally got back to me saying she had all the materials needed to make the wig so she can now start!! Yippee!! Things are starting to take shape even though I haven't actually gotten much of the physical things I need. Now to just get Anne into gear...

|D I just made my Rinoa top and shorts, all that's left is to wait for the fabric to arrive so I can dye it then make the duster, and buy fabric for the skirt and make it. The top totally looks bought, I sugar honey iced tea you not~

It's about 5 kg; But it's horribly unbalanced which makes it seem heavier and difficult to handle.

I'm at odds whether to do the Berserker Armour or not.

I'm currently patterning all the sections created by the wire. Have an idea that seems like it'll work in my head of how to go about creating the armour, just ned to see if it'll work in practice lol.
