I have vambrace! I'm completely rubbish at eyelets, and they look like they were run over. But I have vambrace!!

OKAY. SO. 300 rings have had basic prep done to them.

This is 300 out of the thousands I need~ Whooo. FML. I think I still have around 300 cut out and I have about the same amount in coils.... So like... So far I think there's been about 50m of wire in this project. 8| This will triple atleast, I think.

Butyeah. I haven't been working on them every night, like I promised myself I would. >: Atleast 100 a night will solve all my problemmms~ 8D

Got a pattern for pants from spotlight yesterday, as well as top materials, pants material and scarf material, so there shall be progress!! About a third done on the pants, here's hoping I get a top pattern soon after I finish so I can keep going. 8D 8D <333

So, my epic remake of Gauche because I wasn't happy with it is going well-
-hat tooks far better, but i wont finish it until i have the wig, so i can be certain it fits.
-jacket-going swimmingly-just gotta put on all the binding. ugh.
-bag-gotta find some rhinestones or butcher some drawing pins for the decal on the sides
-gloves ughidunwannatalkaboutitsoboring

Also, have accumulated my Refia fabric and drafted my patterns-just gotta figure out how i'm gonna do her clasp.

I thought I had enough itty bitty bits of pleather for my Xena Skirt. Pinned it all together and not only does the skirt not reach all the way around my ass as it is, I think I need to move everything closer together. So away I go to make about 50 more itty bitty bits of pleather *sob*

I have to sit the skirt on the exact right angle on my hips or the strips overlap improperly and reveal my ass. I have a miniskirt underneath that is very accurate to my reference pics but not very... opaque. I think I need a set of bootyshorts.

KYAHAHAHHA UNPICKING GO DIE IN A TRASH CAN

Eh-herm... been working on my costume tonight, sewed the arm things together but one was too tight, so I had to unpick and re-sew! WEEEEEE

Also cut out the back paw pads for applique later on!

You can see 3 extra small circles cut out for the thumbs that are going on later. Razz

First layer of hotglue gun armour is done for the breastplate. I would do more tonight, but I have run out of hot-glue sticks. Many thanks to Luke for the inspiration. I'm trying to take piccies so I can show of my process but between glad-wrap and clear hot-glue they're not turning out real well.

Yea, progress, finally. I'll upload some pics when my camera has batteries. I've got all my materials and cut out the patterns and made most of my props.

Left to do:
Sew pieces together (AGHHH PLEATHER)
Cut out key head and hilt + glue to dowel + paint
Sew the jacket which will make me sweat all of saturday D8

I actually did something today O_o...

Went out to spotlight and bought material for Rayne (Yay 20% off) then came home and started adapting my Jacket pattern and cutting out said material.

Hopefully will start some sewing tomorrow XD

Now I need to save up some moolas to buy perspex and I can start on my contest piece

Ball dress for tomorrow just needs to be hemmed ~~though there are 3 layers to do~~ and just need to make my over top. I can totally finish on time for tomorrow!!!

Spotlight trip was successful! They had both patterns I wanted, found some red denim and saved $40 buying stuff.
Got most of the things I need for Subaru now, will need to get gloves, jeans and cut the wig~~

& I may straighten the wig I got for Kusaka soon... But the curls are so pretty :>

I've spent countless hours and a wad of cash trying to find the perfect brassy/copper paint/rub'n'buff/ANYTHING for my armour. Test run with the cruddly gold acrylic in my scraps pile and it works pretty much perfectly. *sigh*

I have figured out the trick to getting hot-glue armour flat and mostly smooth (obviously, its going slowly and being patient, I should have guessed that). One more layer on the breastplate and thats done, although it is the most complex layer. Then to paint it. Backplate is more ornate but has less material involves, shouldn't take me nearly as long. Then the straps to connect the front to the back - I need big shoulders, an underarm strap and like a spiral of gold. All materials accounted for. Vambrace need another coat of cruddy gold acrylic, then to rivet my armour together (first I have to find where I cleverly hid my rivets. Here rivets rivets rivets~). Then it's just the boots and getting over this freaking bug before Au Contraire.
Oh, and finish organising the exhibition and the panels. Argh, Still no idea what they want for the Love my Fandom panel.
