Volunteer to help in earthquake cleanup TOMORROW! (8/09/2010)

Kaiapoi was hit really badly in the Earthquake and Rocky suggested to me that we have a group of people from the CCC come up to help with the clean-up! :)

Details:

There is an army briefing at the Kaiapoi Rugby Park carpark in Kaiapoi on Smith St. at 9:00AM. To get there, you take the third exit off the motorway. We will then be bused to a small town nearby who deperately needs our assistance! There will be no waiting around, a short briefing then right into it! If 9:00AM is too early then you can meet an hour later at the same location at 10:00AM for a quick 10 minute briefing, then right into it!

If you need a ride there, you can meet at 9:15AM in the UCSA carpark. You can park over on the Ilam School side of the USCA carpark, which is at 90 Ilam Road. A bus will leave at 9:30AM sharp, and can only take 40 people. This is also the time and place to meet for car pooling out to Kaiapoi if you have space in your car or need a lift! Rocky and I can take 8 people!

INFO:
You will need to sign in and out at each location (legal and Civil Defence requirements), this is vital. Please make this easy for the coordinators.
Please return shovels and such to their rightful owners.
Lunch will be provided at the carpark on Broomfield St. at 1:00PM, in Kaiapoi, by the wonderful people at ReChurch. We can't thank them enough for the kind offer! Also, ENSOC are getting Pizza for an afternoon snack.

You will need to bring: Sunblock and a raincoat. Spades if you can, (we'll have a truck to bring out some, along with wheelbarrows, to Kaiapoi). Most importantly though, a water bottle for drinking!

Ok i have the go ahead from my dad to do this and they'll watch my son. I'll go for the 10 o'clock group if anyone wants a ride. Be best if they are able to at least bus to mine, which is in Redwood on Main North Road.

Shayna, both Rocky and I will be passing through Redwood on the Main North Road anyway, so if you want a lift either of us can take you instead of you coming in your own car. ^_^

Sorry. I would do this and help. Rocky knows that I want to help. But I'm tried and stressed to the limits, like snapping at people and getting annoyed with stupid things like- somebody walking by. =_=';

Alright, I'm going to bed now, but I'll be monitoring this thread tonight/early tomorrow morning. :)

My car is full, so anyone else wanting to go will have to bus or talk with Rocky~

Am going to be at ucsa carpark at 9 am if there are any rides going i'd be greatly appreciative or just the bus if no one has room.
been doing it the last two days, so much fun to see what kinda help we can pitch in with.
