Would like that idea... I would be keen for this, they have something that I MUST HAVE!!! Although a lot of the stuff I want is sold out, do they get stuff back in again that they have sold? I don't know how much it would cost in NZ dollars though.
AnimeGarden had some of the same stuff, also sold out, has been for ages. I have never had a problem with them but am keen to order from AmiAmi if we do a group order. |

Re: Anime Garden! By Choconyan. 25/01/11, 12:43 pm |
| This is my experience with Anime Garden:
I sent them an enquiry on the 7th but they didn't reply so I thought ahh what the heck I'll just order a cosplay, hoping it would arrive before acp on the 22nd. It says on their site that it would take 10 days to make with the current work load and that they will email you measurement instructions soon after the order. They never did, so I sent them anyway. Days later, I still hadn't heard from them so I sent them another email asking about my order, as they're also meant to email you half way through the making of the cosplay.
Then I stumbled upon this thread http://www.gpforums.co.nz/thread/406630/?s=
Which had other people complaining, saying they recieved their order after like a month. Ugh so then I had a few days to sort out my cosplay for acp, knowing that my order wouldn't be coming on time! I sent them so many emails, and finally YESTERDAY they emailed me to answer my first enquiry and said they had been away till early last week. WTF they didn't put that anywhere on their website!! sugar honey iced tea service!! Don't order from these people guys! I'm trying to cancel my order but they haven't replied yet!!! /rant
Edit: Oh and my order status still says processing -.- |

| Personally, I've never had a problem with them. I ordered a notebook and necklace from them, both of which arrived together two days later. The necklace was the wrong one, so I notified them and they sent me the correct one for free (shipping free as well) and let me keep the other necklace as compensation. |

| Hmmm ok then, let me rephrase myself:
Never buy COSPLAYS from them. You're better off ordering from Taobao. Cheaper AND quicker. And email them first to make sure they're not on a damn unannounced holiday! |

| Ouch, I'm glad I bought my http://www.amiami.jp/shop/?set=english&vgForm=ProductInfo&sku=FIG-MOE-1845&template=default/product/e_display.html from Amiami, it was 9140yen with shipping (~$150 with SAL, shipping was ~1600yen/$25), and it arrived in under 2 weeks, but it's still at a friends so I can't collect it till I get back to NZ but wooot. |

| MightyApe is a better New Zealand site.. The only problem it has is that it only sells manga and anime dvds

| I think Anime Garden is a good website, apart from the seemingly moronic staff behind it, who gave any warning about their break. Other people seem to have had a good experience, just not us suckers who ordered between Nov~Jan. Stupid... its like they're not aware of Christmas... They emailed me today to apologize for the inconvenience and said they cancelled and refunded my order as requested. Haven't checked if the refund came through yet. |

Re: Anime Garden! By Cookie Monster. 01/02/11, 11:51 am |
| It's seems that I'm also going to have some problems with them. I should've checked around first (like here!).
I have heard NOTHING on my order even after emailing them. Phone calls will follow from this friday.
I spent $140 on random DVD's Anime Garden apparantly had in stock:- I haven't really brought much anime DVD's the past 14 months and Madman don't produce the singles any more and Mighty Ape don't have them in stock anymore so I was pretty over-joyed when I saw that Anime Garden had them. I've had free time recently to watch DVD's and my collection needs a few holes plugged.
Update: Sent several emails and got no reply. I tried phone calls, but that's a no go; out of the two moblie numbers 1 is disconnected and the other no-one answered. The number listed on the WHOIS is fake.
Going to involve the bank now and try to reclaim the transaction. |

| Is anybody still having problems with animegarden?
Perhaps this thread will help. One guy tracked down the owners physical address and phone number which may help you get your money back if you still have not been refunded.
