The Amazing Race [Cosplay Edition], will take place across Christchurch, with teams racing across town through 5 different locations and over 15 different activities and challenges. We will be making use of the wonderful Christchurch Bus system, with the Metro card, which gives unlimited travel all day for only $4.20

There will be an enforced rest stop for 30min in the central City from 12.30pm, teams can not leave until 30min has passed from their arrival. This is to allow people time for a quick lunch.

You will need to have 4 people in your team, everyone will need metro cards and each team should have a team name, colour and battle cry.

Please cosplay if you have a costume.

UPDATE 26/05: Yes it is still going a head regardless of weatherm, you will want a rain coat if its raining, however most stuff will be inside, it's just going between things you have to worry about!

Bring

• YOUR METRO CARD WITH MONEY ON IT (you can top up your metro card with $10 in cash on a bus. If you don't have a metro card, get one at the Bus Exchange.
  
• Water bottle (there may not always be access to water.
  
• Your lunch, or money to buy lunch.
  
• One person on your team needs to have a digital camera
  
• A raincoat

• You can only use walking or busing, as a form of transport, no driving.
  
• Your team must travel together and complete challeges together.
  
• Your team will need a digital camera, to take photos along the way
  
• You can only use the Metro bus system, or your own legs as transport. No bikes, Skateboards, Skates ect.
  
• If you get stuck, you can text me for help. The time penalty for getting help is 10minutes.
  
• If the clue has gone missing or is not avaliable, there will be no time penalty for txting for help.
  
• We have a variety of businesses helping out with this challenge. Please make sure that you are considerate of customers, don't run or make a lot of noise in their buildings and never leave a mess.
  

hey folks. I would be keen to organize a city wide treasure hunt, basically you have to go around to various places, do challenges, get clues to figure out where to go next.

I wanted to organize a car rally, but because most of the forum members don't drive, the best way to do things would probably be via bus.

So basically all you would need is a metro card, you are in a group and have to go around the city - a bit like the amazing race. The event would probably go from 10am to 4pm or so, on a weekend, there would be break for lunch.

At the moment I'm thinking we could do this in May.
