| lol i went to the one in malaysia
coupled with the fact there was a one minute limit for mock fights, two very random mcs who moved however they wanted without thinking too much and the fact that they spoke in manglish it was very entertaining ... and then they ran out of time they went into sudden death
yeah i know random but lol =3
mm must think of another thing to do >=3 |

| Yeah if we could get two chessplayers who are rather fast-thinkers, or pre-plan the game... we'll be right. I dont think it would get boring... so we're back to the main problem of numbers. Yeah if time does drag we could do sudden death...
ehhh hehehe. oh welp 8) |

| Maybe you could get people to take turns moving the pieces every few goes or something? You know, involve the audience. And it'd be harder to win, since no-one really knows what the previous person was thinking?
I'unno, just throwing another idea onto the pile |

| Wow that's an awesome idea that is. One problem though is they'd have to know chess... (you know how each piece can only move in a particular way so on...) and also not take too long to decide on a move to make. I might talk to my friend, he's a keen-chess player and see what he thinks of all these ideas for cosplay chess. |

| There's a bunch of threads over on cosplay.com about cosplay chess and though I've never seen/partipated I've picked up that there's really two types.
There's a performance, where everything is choreographed and the moves are planned out in advanced.
And theres when the players actually play chess, using people, who then improv the fights.
Its when people try to combine them that things get messy.
I think a really good thing to try to work into a choreographed one is "queening a pawn". For instance if you hav two characters, one of whom is the "evolved" version of another (Sephy and Kadaj, SSJ's, pokemon etc) you get the lower one on the board to start with as a pawn and keep the higher one off. Then you march the lower/pawn up to the back row of the board. In normal chess the pawn gets "queened" - you can replace it with any dead non-pawn peice, and people usually pick the queen. So you hit the lights, turn on the dry ice and switcheroo the lower/pawn for the higher/queen character. *"one winged angel music"
Another idea I had for cosplay games is "Insta-cosplay." You get someone who's attending in mufti, put them in a team with 4 people who are in cosplay and they have 5 minutes to create a cosplay on their mufti person with whatever they can get their hands on, including audience members props. |

| Don't s'pose you could play Cosplay Twister as long as people didn't have any loose parts that could break... |

| what about this game (idk the name) but it's pretty good, and you could play it in character as long as you kept the questions fairly general;
everyone stands in a big circle and someone stands in the middle. the person standing in the middle says a criteria, for instance, 'people who can use magic' or sth, and everyone that applies to has to run out and change spots, along with the person in the middle. the last one to find a spot has to stay in the middle and then say something else, etc, game goes on. sort of like musical chairs, but with less hassle except i'd think you'd need an odd number of people playing.
also. what's the time mr wolf is super fun. |

| It's called the south wind blows - technically you're supposed to say "the south wind blows on everyone with an X in their name!", but everyone's too lazy to do that. XP |

| LOL, I remember that game! We used to play it with chairs and stuff and everyone bumped into each other. 8D
Except that we used to say it in Mandarin, lol.
