Uh... stuff I don't want to share with strangers is friends-locked, but occasionally I'll post something open to everyone that isn't too random, fic, or a commentary/review on something.
I sometimes don't update as well.
Usually I'll go on, when I do update, about fandom or something I found on the internets. Maybe school work, in a horribly geeky apply-biology-to-EVERYTHING way. Or art. That too. Maybe an icon alert too, even though that's redirected to the community I share with two of my friends.

Umm... I don't usually mind people randomly friending me. However and friend back usually entails either: an interests list that has at least six things in common or a conversation in which we get to know each other.
Fic idols, people I know IRL and people I know elsewhere get immediately bumped up the list.

Oh, and I also ramble a bit in my entries. (Like this post does Very Happy
