Ball at Auckgeddon confirmed

I just had a thought-is a ball even being planned for the next Auckgeddon? There's nothing up on the official website about Auckgeddon yet at all besides about a ball, so I was wondering if anybody knows if it'll actually be happening again or not?

Need to know whether or not to start on a cosplay for it!

I think there is already a ball as part of the actual Auckgeddon (i.e. organised by Bill).

They did it last year for the first time (a masquerade Ball) on Sunday evening after the geddon expo, i.e. an after-hours event. You should see a few groups in the Auckgeddon forum already, cosplaying just for the ball.

Yeah but she means they might not do one this year, since it hasn't been mentioned on the official site yet.

Wasn't the ball hosted by Michael Winslow last year anyway?
Would that mean it was his idea too? He's not going to Auckgeddon this year, even though he was at every other Geddon around the country and in Australia i think, for a couple of years in a row XD So maybe it's possible.. There will be no ball D: Or.. No ball planned. Yet XD Im sure Bill will organise one anyway since heaps of people are interested.

It was a test run by Bill. It turned out better than expected so it might be returning. It was better in Auckland than Melbourne possibly due to the venue and how it all gelled together.

But yeah currently all the info is for DAE.

And yes, I need an excuse for a pretty pretty dress to be finished too. Maybe Reinette can finally get worn!!! The hoops are starting to bend as I keep tossing them out of the way ;)

Yeah I remember last year Bill/someone important that I thought was Bill saying it was such a success that they'd probably hold it again. I'll just hold off on the dress making until it's confirmed or not then, thanks guys! :)

I just hope that it's actual dancing music instead of rock...cosplayers found it difficult to dance to and if it was like music we cant stand but you know at least we can dance to it.
