Prince of Tennis group?

So.. My homestay made me fall backinlove with Prince of Tennis. Cool, ne? 8D So I wanna get a Prince of Tennis troupe together. Yes, troupe. Not group. Troupe. As in people who would be willing to cosplay them more than once and outside of cons as well as at them. Pretty easy, considering the uniform's such an easy cosplay to make (and there are a lot of various street versions they wear), and you can get tennis rackets quite cheap and it's easy to find public tennis courts for photoshoots.

I'd love to get the whole Seigaku Regulars group together, or try to at least.

Tezuka Kunimitsu - Rowan (AKL)
Oishi Shuichiroh - Rikki (AKL)
Fuji Shusuke - azeria (WEL)
Kikumaru Eiji - tangent (AKL)
Kawamura Takashi
Inui Sadaharu - Xiggers (AKL)
Kaidoh Kaoru
Momoshiro Takeshi
Echizen Ryoma - Blob (AKL)

Now, of course, there's that whole distance issue thing and multiple cities and stuff, but it can all work out fine, no matter who is where. If we want to do photoshoots anywhere outside of cons, we can just do them with the people in each city getting together and then compiling all the photos. Each regular has a relationship of some sort to each other regular so it won't seem too weird. Besides, we can do photoshoots at cons (or outside con hours but during con weekends) if we want full group shoots.

So.. Anyone interested? 8D
I'd be keen for Oishi, and I'm trying to convince syn to do Eiji (yes, we are going to try and do their fancy racquet-spinning thing), but I'd be fine doing Momo or Inui otherwise. (Yes. I am going by the hair here XD Though, I do have the height for Inui, and it'd be fun being a data player XD)

YES. I've just gotten back into prince of tennis recently too...

In terms of conventions, I'd only be able to go to Auckland gatherings.

I'm keen for either Ryoma or Shusuke.

Actually, thinking about it... I won't be able to do Oishi's hair this year, unless I use a wig. I'm growing it again. Then again.. XD So long as you have the uniform, you can cosplay pretty much any character. So if there's a character missing for a shoot you want, someone else can do that character, and we can have the troupe list as the default list, especially for the cons.

/will have Kaidoh hair by the end of the year.

So I'll do Auckland's Oishi, but I can do Momo, Inui or Kaidoh on request~

Technically, it's 46 volumes if you include 10.5, 20.5, 30.5 and 40.5. But they're more guide books than manga and 30.5 is an art book. /snugs it.

I'm rereading it again. I'm up to chapter 131. It's not a manga that's slow to get into, either. And the characters are easy to love.

& lol Kiki, don't worry. The art gets waayy better. Me and Cobi reread it a while back and were like '0__0 I THOUGHT THE STARTERS WERE PRETTY'
They get uber bish as the series goes on lmao.
But yea, at the start they look kind of... odd.
Especially Fuji & Eiji T___T

I read the whole of prince of Tennis a while back... But I got into it again recently because I saw that the manga's sequel "New Prince of Tennis" was being updated on a manga site.

They're all meant to be in 7th/8th/9th "grade"....

I played Tennis when I was... little-ish, and thanks to my brother's tutoring it's easier to appreciate the difficulty/impossibility of some of the shots they use in POT.

And PoT is cool once you get to know the characters and they start their proper tournaments.
& when they have team bonding like the bowling and beach volleyball.

If you are into the whole sports or tennis thing from the beginning, it makes it easier.
