We could drive out to the base of mount cook, and get photos in the snow. Up the port hills you get amazing views and some awesome background shots. Theres also Akaroa not far away, Lyttleton, and also i'd love to take some photos along the river bed of some of the massive cantabury rivers.

Planing for Sunday the 13th, leave christchurch about 10:30am, we'll get there just in time to have a snow picnic at the warmest part of the day and then take photos and play in the fun and pretty white shiny snow!

unfortunately i can only take 5 people in my car, but if anyone else wants to drive a car, we can have a larger group. Also preference to those that are cosplaying!

When: 10:30am, meet in town, Sunday 13th, drive back about 2pm
Where: MT HUTT WITH SNOW!
Cost: $7 dollers each if you're a passenger, to cover petrol for those driving (PETROL SUCKS!)

IF ITS RAINING AS OF 9:30am on the day, assume the outing is canceled, but check this thread anyway.

Sunday!! That's awesome, now my friend can come too, I'll have to check with my friends but we'll either beable to take 1-2 extra people or 3-4 (1 or 2 cars)

I'll have to double check with my friend and her husband! I asked her about the previous posted date (Saturday) and she sounded like she wanted to come, but she works all of Saturday.)

i'd love to organize a ski trip sometime as well, however this time we'll pretty much be just driving up to the area before you get to the actual ski town proper. I love skiing, but not everyone does and including skiing in this would result in less people comming due to financial or skill reasons.

Yeah, While I've only ever been once, I don't like skiing enough to justify the cost, at least not until next year.

Should be fine, there is a potential hiccup but I will confirm by Friday, right now I'm 90% sure that myself and my car will be available
