[Seller] Fake Final Fantasy Figurines By Willuknight. 13/04/10, 02:02 pm |
| I will abide by CNZ rules and promise to give my fellow members service that is to the best of my ability
Hi guys. I want to import some NON-LICENCED Final Fantasy figurines from China, but they only sell them in bulk lots. I want a couple myself, and I may sell a few on Trademe, but I still have more then I want to deal with.
I'm planning to sell them on trademe for $9, but if anyone here wants to get any of these, I will sell them to Cosplay Club members for only $5 (basically covering costs) on the condition that you don't sell any you buy off me, on trademe.
To order, just put the name of the figure you want, and whether you want to pay for postage. I will PM you once they arrive (shipping time is about 20days from China unfortunately). Postage will be $3 (or 2 figurines for $3.5). If you live in Christchurch, you can pick them up from me directly.
Please don't put your name down unless you genuinely are willing to pay for these once they arrive, I don't want to have to pay for $50 of dolls with lots of duplicates, out of my own pocket.
TLDR: cheap nonlicenced FF figurines, $5ea save $4.Postage $3, wait time about a month.
Feedback: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Members/Feedback.aspx?member=221990
BTW, these photos are pretty average, I will take some better photos once the order arrives.
Just in case you weren't sure, these aren't official items, if you want the higher quality official figurines, read futher down :)

| Oh oh! I'll definately buy Yuna & Rikku off you! Would it be possible for me to get 2 Yuna's? My friend cosplayed her & would die for it~ (I already have the Tidus hehe. Might get the other 2 as well if there's any unclaimed after the rest of CNZ sees this)
Oh & I'll pay for postage |

| Will it be possible to order a Garnet, Squall and a Vincent Valentine ? ( and if they have a Kuja one for a friend ? =3)
EDIT- actually don't want you to get into trouble for selling a bootleg.

| Those are definitely bootlegs. I have the originals of those and the quality of those bootlegs are just plain awful. D: You'll also get in trouble trying to sell them on Trademe if caught.
EDIT: iwuvanime's just checking to see if one of our import sites we like has the real ones. :3 |

| I still find them adorable! Just read Maka's comment, are you ordering all of the characters or just the ones in that photo? If you are I'd love a Tifa!! |

| Okay I am going to point this out but if they are the pictures of the website they are definatly bootlegs I have one of these and the quality is way higher than these pictures. Just wanted to give you a heads up. If you want some legit ones of the whole set the bottom three are included in (yes they are more expensive) you can get them here http://www.hachioji.com.hk/toy/product_info.php?cPath=50&products_id=2357&osCsid=23834ccd87f9fd4df2166cd356071b2d The whole set including shipping (slower but secure) is around $44 I order off this site all the time and they are really really good. |

| As far as I'm aware, the boot leg rule mainly applies to dvds - can a mod please confirm if I'm able sell these? As far as i'm concerned they're cheap toys.
Iwuvanime: The ones you've linked to, there is not mention whether those are official products or not, the quality is just higher. To be 'official' they need to be items that the manufacturer has purchased the licencing and reproduction rights from the holders of the copyright (in this case probably disney).
These figurines aren't as high quality, but they are a lot cheaper. |

Yes but I have ordered off the site and they are all legit products XD I also just dissapprove of bootlegs altogether as not only are they crud quality but they are giving profit to someone who is just stealing things off people who have put hard work into making a product. |

| Asking the mods to confirm about DVDs Vs other things bootleg on the forums atm, but on trademe bootlegs of anything are not allowed.
But yeah, the ones from Hachioji are official. I have the originals themselves and some are from them. They are a respectable online seller and never had a problem with them.
Trust me, I've lived in Hong Kong for many years and have quite a good knowledge and understanding of real Vs Bootlegs. ;P |

I agree with you in terms of bootleg dvds, as the cost for the disk is so low, and the only way a dvd sells, is via a dvd. Basically you pay someone else for an exact copy of the original item.
However with an item thats radically different to other products. Square make money off of the game. Everything else is just marketing. There is more of a cost to the maker, whoever it is, to create this product. As well as that, the customer has an incentive to purchase the more expensive product as it's better made. The cheaper product is inferior (though a preferred choice for some due to the price difference.)
Selling a nonlicenced figurine is exactly the same as someone selling cosplay comissions for licened characters (which everyone does). There is absolutely no difference.
It costs X to make the figurines and they sell them for X to make money. It costs X to sew a cosplay and they sell that cosplay for X to make money.
People can buy official artwork, artbooks, posters and costumes, but they choose to pay other people for these non-licenced creations.
Everytime someone comissions someone to draw a character from an anime or manga, or make a cosplay of a character from an anime or manga, they are breaching copyright laws and using a licenced character.

| I think my biggest problem with this thread is that there's nothing on your original post that there's no indication (though I don't think you were aware at the time) that the items are not legit. Just to make it fair on others who aren't aware and want the real deal, you know. ;P |

I still don't like it I think you really should point out that these arn't legit in your first post though (if it does end up being okay for you to sell them here) Just to be fair on those who don't know.
also just so people can see here is a picture of the ones we have in our flat (fear the mighty detail) so you can compare the quality.

yeah, I have changed my wording of the first post already, and I will update to make sure buyers are informed.
If people want a high quality figurine, then I definately think they should go to the place you reccomended :) |

Re: [Seller] Fake Final Fantasy Figurines By JVCA. 15/04/10, 03:02 pm |
| The mod squad has discussed this, and decided that bootlegs will be permitted as long as they are very clearly advertised as being fakes. It is down to the moral obligation of the purchaser, in the end. |

So, are people still interested in these? I'm still keen to import them, if i can find some other interested parties. |
