Pokemon Red Blue and Yellow special

I just found my first ever anime type games from 1999! Me and my brother had Blue red and yellow. We played the games just lately again for the first time in a while. Its so scary that the game is still popular now and still fun to play.

Does anyone else play or had the games?

At my primary. I'm sure that at least 95% of the students had either red, blue or yellow. Or collected Pokemon cards. ~~which no one knew how to play~~ Razz

It was a huge thing back then. Even Digimon couldn't get us out of Pokemon Pokemon Red Blue and Yellow special 519410

Even now, most of my friends still love Pokemon. We arranged a sleep-over last week to play Soulsilver/heartgold. xD too bad I don't have it yet. ashamed

But yea, you can never get too old for Pokemon!! :grin:

My friend at uni still has the old games (and even the japanese verisons aswell!).

I was cleaning out my room as it was a mess so was my brother and we saw the game and just started to play them again.

@ Kazamaster Which version did you prefer? Mine was yellow.

I preferred yellow as well. Mainly cos it actually had colour and you could get all 3 starters. Oh, and Pikachu following you around was cool. Pokemon Red Blue and Yellow special 65988

Yea

and at first like on the anime show he didnt like Ash and when you play a bit more hes always happy unless he is hurt.

Have u got the newer pokemon games? What are they like?

I have always been, and always will be a huge fan of the original games. Brilliant, I had all three, and loved them all. Never had a cable though so trading was impossible.. which was always a shame.

Only played as far as Leafgreen/Firered thoroughly. Played through Diamond.

As far as I can say. I liked the older versions better. Have played a bit of Heartgold on my brothers DS and it is amazing. Can't wait to get it.

i have, red, blue, yellow, silver, gold, crystal, ruby, sapphire, leaf green, diamond and soon soul silver.

all real.

pokemon crystal is my favorite.

(i have soul silver on dstt and it is now my favorite pokemon game)

I think I only knew like 2 people at my primary that had a Charizard.

My friend had the Japanese verisons aswell and I was so jealous of him.... Mad

I couldnt stand Pikachu on the blue and red so fake. But cool games.

Back when I was...10, maybe 11? I got Blue for Christmas. I was the only kid in school to get all 150. I met my best friend (and still is to this day) because he traded me Tauros so I could get a completed Pokedex.

A few years later I lent the game to a friend, telling him it was fine to play my game just don't save over my save. Only he did save over it and ever since I have always passively hated him.

But right now I'm playing HeartGold. I'm rocking a Bayleaf, Alakazam, Gengar, Eevee, Pidgeotto and a Dratini in my party.

I have played all of the Pokemans until they switched to DS.

Favourite is Crystal. I found they shrunk the Radio Tower. ITS NOT EVEN A TOWER ITS A HAUS.

I pretty much raped my copy of Red, playing it non-stop. I actually caught Missingno once. Didn't screw up my copy though 8D

I was always useless catching pokemon and never fully completed getting all 150 Pokemon.

The yellow version at first was hard cause the first badge was rock pokemon and of course Pikachu is weak againest rock XD
