Ok Guys...

I FINALLY want to do something with my life, and being sick of having no money I have decided to do something about it...

I am going into the Historical Corset Business...making Historical Corsets, and maybe some original designed ones later on down the line....

But before I can start getting business I need to show my work...

So, I need models....

I am starting on Regency Corsets, due to certain money drawbacks.
Next year I will be getting into the 18th Cen and Victorian Corsets, so if you want to model for those post Very Happy

Also, I can't pay you for modelling, so if you model, and confirm and ACTUALLY show for the Photos etc...

I will give you the Modelled Corset

So, what I need, if you are willing and able, if a post here and I will PM the details I need...coz if you guys are to keep them, I need to custom them Very Happy

I have decided to cut each era's models down to 3 or less for each...

Being one of the only two cosplayers in HB (Amura being the 2nd) is boring as hell!! LOL

I should have the Regency Corsets done by the middle to end of Jan...giving myself good room for any delays, so they should be done before then Very Happy

Distance doesn't really matter. As long as you can get a good Picture of the Corset, stylish and good, its ok Very Happy

And if not, I have a mate in ChCh that might be able to take a few pics of you in one...

Hmm I want to have a go at making some smaller ones, for the Customers I get that are very small...it could be done... Very Happy

Patterns are being drafted as well speak guys, so if you still have not confirmed the era you want to model, please do so I can make your custom pattern pieces...

Also, I need a Regency Fan for a Short Stay (a regency corset that stops above the waist, used close to the Georgian era)
The Two/Three Regency Stays I will be making are Long Stays, but I would love if someone could model a Short Stay for me...

Well if it's not a problem about the distance, I wouldn't mind doing a georgian one. I'm also reasonably small, so. :)
You'll have to tell me the measurements you need, because I'm not really sure of mine haha.

Apoligies, even the new version of Opera keeps stuffing up the formatting of posts. As Kelz says, if distance is not an issue, ... I could suggest two leads for victorian groups, one of which I know has noobs who would probably love to get free corsets. And what better add than word of mouth in these groups.There is a Victorian(/regency) dance group in ChCh. I can soon dig up the link.Also Neimhalle has a Victorian group in Auckland of some description. Also anything pre-1600 (eg. Tudor) you could contact your local SCA. See sca.org.nz. And from there you can leverage that to be a business selling to the SCA and steel groups in Australia and NZ. Even better if you get/hire (usually just a donation) some simple garb and show up at the odd event, get to know how the SCA a little. Also some events have markets, like CF, etc. The best person to contact is the local senshal (secretary), or the head of the local seamtresses guild. In fact the seamtress guild would be a great place to go to there meets and make it there. They will make sure it's done right, as in a 'reasonable attempt' at historical. Basically all internal seams/hemming are usually machine sewn, all visible sewing is usually hand sewn, so it looks period. And of course careful material selection. And they are a gold mine of info. So there are some things to think about, feel free to contact me if you wish to follow up on any of them. Also at a pinch I can take photos. But you probably want some one with a better camera/skills and more appropriate. Static is coming down around ChCh Geddon if that is any help.

I would be super keen to do this, but am in Wellington? I notice you offered to do some of them at Geddon and i could surely do that.
Also i'm not a very interesting corset shape I'm hippy but not.. well-endowed :p. But have no fear of corsets you can't breathe in.
So just tell me if I can be of any help ^.^ and if not that's cool too.

Also, I am a costumer at heart and have done a good bit of research into making Historical Garb, so its all good there. My Corsets will be Period Correct ;D
