I still can't decide whether to put this in the Music or Games forum... >_<

But yeah - in your opinion, what is the best boss-battle music you have ever heard?

xD But actually, then I realized it's not boss music (I honestly don't think the Hell Vanguard at the beginning of the game counts as a boss, when it's just a really tough regular enemy...)

But yep, Taste the Blood is cool. <3

Cooler than that though is probably 'The Devil's Cry'; but that's cutscene music.

FINE. For my favorite DMC music, I put forwards Cerberus' song (can't remember the name! *o*) from DMC3.

(Don'tcha find it funny that you beat someone to 'Taste the Blood' rather than OWA? ;))

I also like 'Redemption' and 'Longing' from DoC (both are set whilst technically fighting the boss, but not while in battle with him... Am I making sense at all? ^^;; )

And the final boss music from FFX (name escapes me... 'Over' something, I think it is?)

And the Organization theme. <3

And the orchestral version of 'Price of Freedom' in Crisis Core.

AND the 'One Winged Angel' Crisis Core remix (listen to it, seriously, it's different to the normal track, hence why I listed it here. ;))

Is quite hard actually... for me it really depends on what the battle was like/about.

imo, good boss music can be opposite like:
slow and dramatic (FFXI tough battle)
fast and ... dramatic (KH2 13th dilemma...)
or just chaotic and unpredictable
or with a rhythum and repeatable
... see what I mean?
If I was looking for boss music for a game/anime (say I was making one oO')
I'd be thinking whats the fight about is it a usual boss, stranger, friend/rival boss, the tough 'almost no hope in winning boss' or did something dramatic happen (just now a death and its revenge time) ... that sorta thing.

One that always stuck in my head was I guess: time crisis after what happened prior to the battle. (the music I'm talking about is the first minute - after that it goes to the end game cutscene)

...I dont think I really have a favourite, my top ones are more favourite themes but I dont consider them boss, I consider them "kill everything kill them all!" (I was thinking of using one of these for the free for all lol xcept it will be pretend to hit everything, pretend to hit them all hah...hah...hah...? Suspect

I know that I'd buy it. heh heh. And yeah - I completely agree with you on the music going with the battle's circumstances. Myself though, I just prefer RAWRTOOCRAZYFATSMUSICWHEEEEEEEE~ But yeah. That's just meh.

bwahaha, this is all motivating me to go play something now. xD actually, I think I've got a boss battle on FFIX at the moment, so I may go do that... >w<;

SEPHIROTH AND HIS THEME ARE SOOO CUTE. <3

Especially in Crisis Core. He has very soft, adorable facial features there, and his eyes are very expressive and large. <3

OHMIGODWOULDN'T - IT BE AWESOME - IF - THERE WAS A KINGDOM HEARTS/FF POLLY POCKET. Vintage style, mind - like, from 1994, not these crappy wanna be Barbies. =/

Actually, I'm in a dilemma - should I sell more of my Polly Pockets? I recently sold a bunch on Trade Me, for a great price, which makes me happy as it's good for cosplay funds. Thus - should I sell more? The only reason I'm keeping them at the moment is for sentimental value, and if I ever have kids - these days, toys seem to be so unimaginative, so think of what toys would be like in the future. =/

So yes - sell more Pollys for cosplay funds or keep for sentimental value and IF I have kids?

...help. >_<

Anyone else here played Shadow Hearts 2: Covenant? that had some rather interesting boss music once you reached Japan, it started off with a nice buildup, and then came in quite fast.

Oddly enough, the track name is "Hardcore to the Brain"

I like the whole soundtrack for The World Ends Wih You. The boss music changes but the tracks are all really cool~
