[Other] - Job Opening - Wellington - Customer Service/Driver/Tech By jpwise. 29/01/10, 05:47 am |
| OK, not exactly standard marketplace material, but probably the best place for it.
We have a job opening coming up in our Wellington office - www.serviceplus.co.nz The job comprises two or three main areas, with some additional tasks dependant on time.
* Customer Service - dealing with customers on a day to day basis, phonecalls, and liasing with our customers. Booking customer jobs into our job tracking system, and following up for additional information where required. * Delivery run - we operate a delivery run around the Wellington region going from Ngauranga through town and out to the airport, back through town, stop in Nguaranga if required, then out through Johnsonville to Porirua, over the Haywoods, and Upper/Lower Hutt, then back to Ngauranga. It operates Monday/Wednesday/Friday. I'm looking at taking over the Friday run myself so I can go talk to stores at the same time. The delivery run does involve carrying customer equipment including larger iMac 24" PC's - so some lifting is involved. * iPod Servcing - we do warranty servicing on the ipods - this is essentially a test for fault/damage, and order replacement or quote as required. - training will be given. * Technical - time depending basic technical analysis and fault finding of laptops aswell. This is an ancillary task, and the first 3 comprise the primarily functions of the job. Likewise if there is time and this area interests you, on the job training can be given.
The job is initially intended to be 3 days a week, however more hours may be available depending on throughput and job requirements.
Basic summary - suitable applicants will have a minimum of a clean restricted drivers license, preferably for at least 2 years. Professional/Tidy dress Ability to communicate professionally with customers. Sound reasoning and cognitive abilities - ie: logical troubleshooting
You are by no means guaranteed to get the job, but I'm advertising the fact it's available, so if it's something you think you're interested, and fit the bill for, let me know. PM me for my work address to send your cv in to.
Thanks. Jp.
Obligatory Rules Mention: I will abide by CNZ rules and promise to give my fellow members service that is to the best of my ability. |

| OK, I haven't had anyone express an interest on this yet, so it's going to be advertised publicly shortly. If anyone 'is' interested, let me know ASAP. |

| This would be a great job to get me over my crushing fear of driving in town, wouldn't it? |

| LOL, provided you had a clean restricted license, preferably for at least 2 years, yes. The 2 years bit is negotiable.
Honestly town isn't that bad to drive through, and you get to use loading zones. Although some parking with hazards on is required from time to time. You can also legally park in a carpark without feeding the meter for up to 5 minutes, but not past that.
CBD is the only fun one. Airport, Johnsonville, Porirua, Upper Hutt, & Lower Hutt are all easy easy ones. Either customer parking outside/behind the store, or loading zones nearby. |

| My license is clean because I'm terrified of other cars, and so limit my driving to when there wont be many around. But I have had it for 2 years. Could you hold the job until 9 March? |

| Dats cool I simply CAN'T take it that early so no point applying if you're aiming for someone asap. If you're still looking for someone after the thesis is done, I'll drop you a CV, ok? |
