.hack//SIGN By Guest. 16/02/10, 09:43 am |
| -- Sorry if there was already a topic, but I couldn't find it. --
.hack//SIGN and the .hack//Games This isn't much to do with ROOTS or DUSK or anything - these are the originals. I was wondering if anyone else liked .hack//SIGN as much as me?
You see, although it started off the .hack franchise and all, it is a very slow, unpopular, hard-to-get-into anime. At least, that's what reviews about it say. I'm just wondering if anyone else disagrees and likes it, even for its slow pace and little-to-no action?
Tsukasa is like a tame Crona. I love him so.
EDIT: In fact, I'd be quite keen to cosplay him one day in the future. ^_^ |

| hack sign was AMAZING. It was the second anime I ever watched, the first if you don't count Naruto. It is one of my all time favorites. |

| I'm glad I'm not alone. ^_^ I figured it wouldn't be so popular on here as it isn't as exciting as CNZ's favourites like KHR and Kuroshitsuji. *sigh*
Awesome soundtrack, too. XD |

| I agree with Greg. Sign is amazing. First anime I washed that wasn't something on TV xD.
But yeah, I love it. In fact, I HATE Roots. It's really bad. Sign is the best anime of all the them.
Edit: It's not talked about much because it's really old. Kuroshitsuji and KHR are still on-going. Sign ended years ago. |

| Same here ^_^ SIGN was actually the first anime I ever decided to watch that wasn't on Cartoon Network. Back then, our internet was yuck, so I never got past the first episode. XD
EDIT: It makes you wonder..."SIGN characters: Where are they now?" |

Re: .hack//SIGN By Pyro. 16/02/10, 10:06 am |
| I never really got into SIGN. :/ Sora was the only character I liked, and he didn't appear too much, so I sort of gave up after five episodes. I've played most of the games, though, and watched Liminality.
(besides, my Sora-love was sort of fulfilled by playing G.U/watching Roots... hooray for Haseo~)
Actually, I should watch the rest of the show sometime even if I don't like it. Otherwise I'm a traitor to .hack-nerd kind. I mean, I've read G.U+, LotT, and some of XXXX, watched Roots and LotT, played G.U and vol. 1/2 of IMOQ, watched (AND LOVED-LOVED-LOVED) Liminality... it'd be weird if I entirely skipped the anime that started it all. :/
EDIT: @Ravin- In regards to the SIGN characters... at this point in .hack:
Tsukasa and Subaru's players are still BFF/lovers/whatever they were Sora is now Haseo, and the most popular guy on the internet Mimiru is coming back for LINK, and from what I've seen, she's the same as always |

| I love .Hack//Sign, again one of the first anime I watched. I've seen all the series, and played through all the games (PS2 ones that is). The music to Sign was especially good, and the story was excellent.
Like Pura, I hate Roots.
I found the second series of games better than the first, but perhaps solely due to aesthetics. Both the first four and the second three were hopelessly repetitive, though perhaps being based in an MMORPG, that was what they were aiming for |

| Bee Train has a habit of making a good first series then slowly alienating their viewers. |

| Great series! One of my first too! The only thing I disliked was the fact that Bee Train made it. Didn't like the art >___>

| I dunno, to be honest I kind of liked the art, though a little shabby at times. I just sort of blamed it on SIGN's age.
@Pyro: I was kind of just joking, but okay. ^^;; |

| I have only seen the first disc. But I have all of them to watch sometime. I think it will be real good.
So if .Roots is bad, what about .twilight? |

| Twilight/DUSK isn't exactly as serious as ROOTS and definitely nowhere near as serious as SIGN. It's a lot more light-hearted and cheesy, but I don't think it was too bad. O: |

| Hm. I think it was the first anime I ever watched wherein fighting was not a predominant theme.
I enjoyed it. |

| I do like .Hack//Sign.....I actually really enjoyed it. I can see where the reviewers get their opinions form , it is a very slow paced (lots of talking) series but it is really enjoyable if you take the time to process what is going on. Plus thew music is awesome (go Yuki Kaijura) |

| I love .hack//SIGN ! I found the first two dvds in an op shop, I want to buy the rest but it seems to only come in the boxset these days D: (I could be wrong? I hope I am)
I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much if I didn't have 10 episodes to watch all at once tbh, it really is quite slow paced... |

| @Kelseyketchum: Sell your first two and buy the boxset?
Also, yes...I agree. If I didn't have the whole series at my fingertips I MIGHT have gotten bored. But it's characters like Tsukasa that attract me to anime, so who knows. |
