Fairy Tail

I am making this thread to try and see how many other fans of Fairy Tail there are on here.
For those of you who know it, i would love to hear your opinions on it, favourite characters, comments, praise, etc etc etc Fairy Tail Icon_razz

(but watch spoilers XD)

And for those of you who do not know of this truly EPIC manga:
Fairy Tail is a mage guild. It is the central guild in the manga of the same name. Guilds are where mages gather to take up contracts and jobs and to practice their art while meeting other mages. Fairy Tail is a particularly crazy and disobedient guild, but also incredibly strong.

The art style is quite like One Piece, those of you who enjoy One Piece would probably like Fairy Tail. I have even grown to like Fairy Tail more than One Piece... heheh.

NO SPOILERS!! very important, as im sure most of you will know. please be very careful about this.

Also, the possibilities of a cosplay group for this brilliant manga seem to be arrising, state your keen-ness should you have it ^_^

My favourite character is Grey ^^
It's entertaining how in one pannel he has clothes on and in the next he's in his underwear XD

OMG FAIRY TAILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

I've been following the anime, not the manga... so spoilers area big no-no for me. XD

I loooooooooove it, it's one of the only anime which can crack me up this much, and makes me look forwards so much to a release. :)
Natsu is so adorable, in his own stupid way. XD Happy... well, let's just say Happy's endearing and funny, and s/he's also Kugyu~ (BTW is Happy a boy or girl? D:)

To me, Lucy's OK, but I forsee new character developments and stuff. Very Happy

And Greeeeey~ 8D his seiyuu's cool? His strippings make me laugh so much as well!

Erza... Oohara Sayaka <3 <3 <3 <3 I like her character as well. it's always a female character who's really really scary when she gets mad, no?

Fairy Tail is awesome. I like Natsu a lot, he has Naruto's enthusiasm but not quite his stupidity. Though Erza is my favourite character. Mistgun is also in my top 3.

I like the fact that Natsu has pink hair. And he's a guy. A MANLY guy. GARRRRRRRR 8D
And wears a scarf.

I think someone said that the mangaka for One Piece and Fairy Tail were assistants to the same mangaka teacher, or something.

I love Fairy Tail (and need to catch up, I'm about 30 chapters behind)
I'm torn between liking Natsu or Grey better but they're fighting it out for my favourite character of the series.

I'm cosplaying Natsu at Wellygeddon on Sat, the anime version (there are differences between manga and anime) and I'm hoping I'll be sufficiently manly enough, haha

@ PI: a fairy tail cosplayer!! I will have to buy a camera purely for that XD
I really want to cosplay from fairy tail, but it would be quite difficult I imagine, and im very amatuer with cosplay atm. NATSU ALL THE WAY XD although I would rather cosplay Mistgun or Luxus. XD

@Zephyr: You should read it! XD its about magic and the mages who use magic. Various mages have different kidns of magic, and use it in different ways. They arent your traditional 'robe and staff' mages. For example, Natsu fights mostly with his fists and body parts, and uses his magic to augment this and make him much stronger. Where as Grey uses his magic to make missiles, shields, weapons, and uses it more traditionally often not actually touching the opponent. I am fairly bad at explaining such things, but if you read a bit it wont take up too much time and would give you a bit better feel for it XD

mmm, fair enough. I would hate to be spoiled as well, problem is, soem characters themselves are spoilers. but i will put in a tag

i was gunna suggest that after I judged the level of enthusiasm and if anyone would be willing. Im not sure exactly who I would cosplay, Natsu and Grey are a bit showy for me XD and the others could be hard, but i would be willing to try?

Haha, love the blue flying Cat xD Isn't a fan of Lucy much, she just seems a bit of the sexual eye candy wearing short skirts and showing off her boobs to Grey to really be a character.

Like the manga but it seems like a small copy of Naruto sometimes and it gets a little annoying, it seems like a mixture of One Piece and Naruto..

Apart from that it's great !

If theres going to be a cosplay group, will go as the French lady with the umbrella but will need to find the book again to see what she looked like. Bugger. xD

agreed... she is fairly useless for the most part. she /does/ get better, but any more would be spoiling XD
I have never read Naruto, so i dont have that problem, and the resemblance to One Piece doesnt bother me cos I love One Piece, and I can get past it cos I love Fairy Tail's characters. Razz
