...let me preface this post with a declaration that I don't actually like hip hop very much. In fact, much of it I despise. BUT - Dragon Ash and Rip Slyme FTW! Dragon Ash did the ending theme for Battle Royale (..could have been BRII....), Shizukana hibi wo kaidan wo (quiet daily stars) and it's beauuuuuuutifull *____*

...also if anyone wants a giggle, youtube the rip slyme video JOINT. It's funny Very Happy

Yeah, Dragon Ash did the end theme for Battle Royale (first one). And, uh, the song name is Shizukana Hibi NO Kaidan Wo, which is Staircase of the Silent Days, rather than stars.

Only a bit despite being an avid listener of hiphop. Clazziquai Project, Soulhead, m-flo, Bennie K, Heartsdale, etc. J-Hiphop tend to have a large hint of pop mixed in (so half the time it comes off as technoish, imo), so it's soother on the ears compared to mainstream western hiphop.

Haven't heard of them but ran through the clip just now. It's a nice track. Nice beat, good flow. Pity I don't understand the lyrics. I look at lyrical content over beats in raps, most of the time.

Ahh, that's cool. I look at the wordplay, similies, metaphors, "storytelling", and the likes in the lyric. It clicks you in some ways and you appreciate the song that much more.
