Bayonetta By Saiyajin Mui. 12/01/10, 12:13 pm |
| Got the Climax Edition of said game and must I say...
I love the game. Especially their take on the song 'Fly Me to the Moon'
The replica Scarborough Fair gun could have done a little bit better in the painting department.
The PS3 version isn't too bad, although the 360 version looks a bit better from what I've seen as the former is a port of the latter. The PS3 version slows down a fair bit in certain places. Not sure if the 360 has that problem either.
ProTip: Done by the guy who did Devil May Cry, hell, there's a trophy/achievement called 'Angel May Cry'
Your thoughts people? |

| I haven't actually played it, only watched it being played, but the 360 version definitely looks better, noticed a hell of a lot of slowdown on my friend's ps3 version >_>
Otherwise, looks pretty awesome xDD |

| I should download the demo - I hear the gameplay is very similar to the DMC series, but from videos the combos look really amazing with her weapon being her hair and all. |

| Yeah agreed about the guns paint job. I got the 360 version and just finished it last night. The game starts out slowly but really picks up at the half way point. I feel that some of the on-the-rail shooter sections went a little to long. But really cool ending and great way to start the gaming year. Certainly the best game of its type. |

Re: Bayonetta By Pyro. 13/01/10, 12:38 am |
| Pfft, finally someone makes a topic for Bayo'.
I've been wanting to play this game ever since it was announced a year and a bit back. <3 Sadly, for lack of a PS3, I /still/ haven't played it...
But whatever, I've watched all the cutscenes and a lot of gameplay videos on Youtube. I know what I'm missing out on~
Is anyone else amused by the sheer number of references in it?
I especially like Luka's little speech about why Bayonetta shouldn't kill him. xD I must say, I'm a little envious of his list of girlfriends-- Claire Redfield, Trish, Silvia, Amaterasu...?
On another note: daaamn, I wanna cosplay Bayonetta's kimono outfit. x3 |

Re: Bayonetta By Le_Saboteur. 13/01/10, 05:06 am |
| It looks like a hell of a lot of fun. I really want to play it, will probably rent it soon. Err. After Mass Effect 2 is done. And maybe after Bioshock 2. And FFXIII. So maybe in April. Yeah, April sounds good.
Is it better than the God of War series (game play wise)? |

| I loved the reference to Space Harrier (music and all) in the game as well. I did not expect that and as a fan of Sega games, I know I loved it. |

| I just got the demo in the xbox magazine disc. AMAZING. Its a little difficult...probably because ive been playing shooters and racing games for the last while...but really good.
@Le_Sabotour I know eh. There are so many good ones coming out in one group. Grrr. Also want Darksiders ^^ |

Re: Bayonetta By RegnieRiku. 19/01/10, 03:07 pm |
| It is definitely a more solid game in the visual department on 360. And that's from a sony biased reviewer so you know it's true.
All in all I'd say to anyone on the fence about it it's a rent in my opinion. By no means is it bad, but I found it short and rather run-of-the-mill in both story and difficulty.
Though that said I think it says good things about games to game in 2010 considering how early such a solid game has come out.
I infinitely preferred Darksiders personally. |

Re: Bayonetta By UnforgivinAngel. 19/01/10, 04:08 pm |
| I picked this game up without any intention of buying anything when this first came out. I was in the Warehouse, saw it, contemplated, decided what the hell, and haven't regretted it since.
It gives me something to do besides Modern Warfare 2.
PROTIP: The 360 version is less censored than the PS3 version, so from a 15 year olds point of view: FOR THE WIN. |

I like how each level tops the last one. You think what you just did was really cool, but then you get to do something BETTER. |
