General Progress

My progress so far has been hindered by no free time/holidays for me except for the last few days... In that time I've made my star (for my Sakura Star wand/staff) out of foam board, taped it together, paper mached it and painted it - my only problem is that one side is fatter than the other and it's really bugging me but I don't have much time to re-do one complete side of the star... I've also made the basic hoop shape for the star to go it and now that I've got some propper glue I've start paper mache-ing that also (again with a problem of the hoop being too wide to accomodate the width of the star...), I'll also have to somehow fix the staff part to the hoop while paper mache-ing as I can't think of any other way to firmly and sercurly attatch it. I'll post a pic of my star and hoop when I find when my camera has wandered off to...

On the fabric side of things I've got my red and yellow fabric washed and dried (although my red has 3 faded lines where it sat in on the line in the sun for too long - I'll just have to use the other side when cutting out). I didn't have enough money to get all the fabric I needed - still have to get white for the cloak, red for the cloak lining , some gold yellow for the claok accents and hat and more light yellow for the boot covers. I think it'll be very difficult to find a white fabric that's not see through and not too expensive, does it even exist? General Progress - Page 2 974377

Well spotlight sells vinyl for the cost of an arm and a few toes, but trademe sometimes has it too. Allen's excorcist uniform, I mean normal fabric is fine and all but who doesn't want pants and a coat out of vinyl?!

my kenshin cosplay is about 45% done lol. It's a long process since i have no sewing machine I will have to revert to doing it by hand

May reasoning exactly...I just simply didnt have the cash for it. Sob.

ANYWAY.

I was going to finish my waistcoat tonight after work...but couldn't find the will or the energy. argh.

Have you marked the line first?

I have decided I need a large square. Had to mark a 2.6m straight line on this tunic. Got it 75% done. Will find out if it worked tonight.

Bought a giant white hat & pattern for paper plane!Rin~
The pattern is ridiculously easy XD
Also got some bobby pins which I'mma attempt to paint white.

& was at Gordon Harris inspecting resin things and it's not going to be too expensive to make jewels for my Fai staff.
Which is awesome because I cannot find the ones I need ANYWHERE. Seriously, why does no store have them?

Can't do any more on my dress until I buy more fabric, which I shall on Friday because I will have been paid~ Thank you 50% off sale <3

Down to the 90% complete mark with my Saya uniform...and have put the last bit of ribbon I need for the cuffs in a Very Safe Place. Bah!

I bought White paint so I can finally make some more progress on my headphones <3~

ONTOPIC: I AM NEARLY DONE MY SAYA UNIFORM. And I bought ivory ribbon rather than white, d'oh! Good thing they aren't right next to each other; I might be able to get away with it.
