Your favourite game? By Sheldawg. 21/04/09, 01:42 pm |
| Hey guys, I'm just wondering a question : Whats your favourite game? This means the one that lit a spark in your head, one that made you smile the whole way through, one that gave you a challenge that you loved so much, THAT game. There may be more than one, if you cant decide then just post both, but try to describe why its your favourite game.
Mine I have to say would be Pokemon Blue. Being my first game, it was so exciting to choose my little Squirtle and train him up against Ratata's and Pidgeys. Today, I really regret trading it in (I cant remember why...) because it had lots of fond memories.
Another game coming in a close second is Team Fortress 2, an awesome FPS game that just has me smiling the whole way through playing with friends and laughing over frags.
So, whats YOUR favourite game? |

| Audiosurf It allowed me to combine 2 of my favorite passtimes Going fast and music. I still cant get enough of it and when i get a new CD I am forever looking to see which songs would make fun tracks and MGS4 Seriously the best game on the PS3 and well deserving of Game of the year on IGN it has an epic storyline challenging game play and enough extras and replayability to keep me playing for almost a year now. |

| My favourite game would have to be Tetris, na ooh such a hard choice, I would have to say Dance factory, which is a DDR type game, my dance matt got lost during moving of house though so I must replace that, out of normal games I would have to say Halo3, it\'s amazing.
I just lost

| I have Audiosurf! Bought it with L4D on Steam! I playing the occasional fast-beat song on Ninja Mono just to kill time.
Haven't played MGS4 yet... Ive played MGS3 and the original on GBC.
EDIT : Tetris is great too, not my favourite puzzle game but still very addicting. |

| Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner Raidou Kuzunoha. I love that game so much :3 Enjoyed it hugely the first time I played it, and the second, and every cycle I unlocked something it was good all over again! |

| I have 3. Just coz thats how cool I am.
First off: Majora's Mask. Ocarina is more popular sure, but I think that this game was a heck of a lot more fun to play. And it actually had sidequests! *squee* Any Zelda game could fit here really. I've played them all.
Secondly: Chrono Trigger. Theres a reason this game is considered to be Squares best work. That's because it is. From start to finish this game is brilliant. The music, the story, everything about this game is done well.
Thirdly: The World Ends With You. Any game with the line "Must...Resist...Emo...Urges" really needs to be on here. But even beyond that, Twewy has one of the most engaging storylines and innovative battle systems of any game on any system. Its blatantly obvious this game needs a sequel. |

Agreed with all of those, although I surprisingly didn't like Chrono Trigger, that might just be cause I haven't invested enough time into it. Zelda obviously has a great part in any gamers heart whether you played the N64 ones or the new Twilight Princess. TWEWY had an innovative battle system, I hated the first boss so much but when I beat him it was all 'REJOICE!' |

Ooh, good choice. That happens to be my second favourite game. My favourite is of course Ocarina of Time. The main reason for that being that unlike Majora's Mask, it has the windmill. Round and round and round, forever and ever.... and ever......
I'm not entirely sure why I find the windmill so amazing/mesmerising, but it is definitely my favourite part of the game. |

| I have way too many favorite games to choose from but I've just finished Metal Gear Solid 4 and that is definitely one of my favorite games ever, it has action, drama, comedy, and a compelling storyline. You go through a range of emotions playing it, but I'm not sure if it would be my absolute favorite game ever. I've played far too many games to choose a favorite from, I'd have to make a list of games that could be considered my favorite |

| Final Fantasy IV
[* Gets shot for being unoriginal * ]
Gets loved the characters and just was able to relate to them than any other RPG game. And the music was so classical, and well-played for such a old game. Still haven't got passed though. It's so cruel your favourite game, is the game that you Don't own.. -__-''
Would love to play the DS version one day.
Though it was my Favorite Childhood game, but guess it counts ?
Aladdin on the Mega Drive.
The first level was so upbeat and it felt like you were apart of the movie. The game was challenging yet really fun. Had heaps of memories with this game, everything to the opening to the rug ride to the final battle with J afar.
Didn't have the move on Video at the time, but this game made me want to watch the movie so baadd..
These two ...favorites # |

| Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria.
I loved it even though the actual battle-play isn't very..say stimulating. Love the characters, their voices, idiotic cliched things they say during fights, the ending. EVERYTHING.
Also, because it took me a while (considering that I usually clock a game I like within the weekend). Lezard was like NOT THIS TIME! I think I took a month or so. Cursed school work.
And Kingdom Hearts is just an all-time fav. |

| Tales of Symphonia. <3333
Surprisingly, I think this cult following game on the unloved GameCube just may be my favourite. Not sure if I have yet played enough of Phantasia to say whether it will take Symphonia's place as my favourite yet.
Yes, I played and liked FFVII and VIII, but I cannot say that they were my -favourite- games. While I liked them, and VII was the first ever rpg I played, ToS I just love the characters and such a lot more.
I'm starting to try and branch out in the games that I play, not just RPG wise, but with the genres in general. Thanks to Brent for that!
(Hoping to save up and obtain Zelda games since I now have a GameCube to play them on. Zelda is too classic for me not to play. Along with zombies. Must practice at FPS type ish games, because I fail.) |

| Well I'll put myself in the firing line and say the FF7 Compilation games. Regardless of whether they're overrated/underrated or whatever people think, I just love them. And trust me, I have played a lot of RPG's in my time. |
