a wigs life limit? :3 (plus facial markings)

hello~
i have a white/silver wig that i will use for allen walker this DO :3
and and.. i have lots of characters i want to cosplay that have white/silver hair..
do wigs go bad if you keep them for too long and use them a bit? (im estimating about 4 characters, which could mean a few years since sadly, NZ does not give one many chances to cosplay : P)

and..would face paint or eyeliner be better for facial markings?

I'm not too good with wigs but as long as you look after the wig it should be ok ^^

And I'd go for some good facepaint which won't come off when you overheat.

and just to be on the safe side i would take the face paint and a brush with you to geddon. just incase it does come off or you accidently rib it off, yu wont look like a plonker wiht half a face markings!!!!

o.o can face paint run down ur face from sweating or heat?

i dont think it would, but you can never be too careful. i think it would just start to flake off or get moist again and be really easy to smudge

wigs should keep okay as long as you take care of them. i have a wig i got at the beginning of 2008 that i've worn like 234883248 million times since i got it (camwhoring, cosplay outings, events, i've lent it to close friends to wear... it has seriously been worn a lot), and it's still in good condition.

re: facial markings, i assume you're talking about allen walker? i'd say red liquid eyeliner if you can get it. :3 pencil would be okay if you can't get liquid.

i still reakon you get face paint and a thing brush. or you can grab a felt or vivid, lmao

It depends on the quality of the eye-liner, cheap stuff will crack and come off fast but better quality brands have the ability to stick to your face and not come off when you want then too (I had "I'm lame" on my cheek for 3 days thanks to an annoying brother and some Australis eyeliner, this is trying to take it off, not just leaving it)

hmm so eyeliner over paint? would it cost alot do u know? x3 (i was gonna get those wet&pat on tattoos from gnc but theyr like 15 bucks and il be using foundation so...)

it wasnt a problem at my old school though lol the teacher brought the henna ink stuff and drew designs for each of us : D (XDXD)

For my Allen walker cosplay, I just used a red eye/lip liner, and for the most part, it didn't smudge at all, and it cost less that twenty bucks...but the underside of the fringe/front of my wig got a little stained.

I've used cheapish red lip liner to do face markings before. I had no trouble with it. It didn't sweat off or crack, and didn't need reapplying throughout the day.

so lip liner instead of eyeliner? are they pretty much the same when applied?
