[ACP08] Plans for if it rains?

yeah.. what happens if it rains? I'm just wondering - should we go and raid an arcade or something? Or just in case, bring along a marquee tenty thing for which to huddle under? Whilst arcades are supremely fun, I think in this context, huddling under something would be the best option. xD

What are your thoughts? Does anyone actually HAVE a marquee tenty thing? I know the Warehouse sold them a few years ago, but..

Heh, and I'd just like to say I'm really looking forward to this, and that it's be uber neat if this would be an ongoing event. xD

I think - the hall would be the best bet, but - they ARE pricey. And if it doesn't rain, well, we'd regret it. And a hall isn't the most.. glamorous place to do a photoshoot. xD But, I dunno - I guess, when I get moved up to Auckland I can research more into the domain... Or wait - [random thought] how many people are bring cars, that'd be willing to use them as a transport system? I'm very happy to offer my new house as a place for if it rains xD We've got a field next door and a park across the road, too, so if it clears up we can still do photos.

But I dunno - up to you.

Even if it does rain, and we have the tent thing, if its really cold and windy would it be as fun as if we had it at someones house as a party?
Lol especially since were in cosplay and unless our chosen costume is wet/cold proof...

although really I dont mind where its held as long as it is held ^^

We do have to have a permit to put a Marquee up - it was one of the conditions for needing a permit that Auckland City Council gave me. So, as long as we have few enough people to fit in a house, I think house, if it rains. Very Happy

We should say on the site though, that we will advise everyone whether we'll be at the domain, or a house on a specific day - when we can see the weather forcast - maybe on January 23rd or something? I do agree that a hall would be very unromantic (lol, not in the kissy kind of sense, but the 'lovely location' kind of sense).
