ERK. Okay Madj, all my bracelets are going to be braided, because I've tried designs and they're all WAY too frustrating for me.

And fine, I am aware that there is more to J-music than Gackt, it's just that I can't find many that I really like, so yes :/ People can bring whatever music they like, provided its on an MP3 player.

SO let me understand this you guys all like Japanese music even tho none of you speak it?
Are the songs in English or do you just go by the beat? just for me half of why i like the songs i do is because the music has a msg that specks to me and i can relate to it in some way.

You don't have to understand something to necessarily enjoy it. I mean I play a fair bit of Japanese games and I enjoy them even though I only understand the odd sentence here and there. But games are different as you have translation guide on the net etc.

It's not necessary to understand a song to enjoy it, just highly desirable.

I think(for me at least) not being able to understand the words makes you focus on the sound of the words, and the use of the voice as an instrument rather than a message... sometimes that is really nice for a change imo.

Then again, half the time when im listening to Japanese music i listen to see what I /can/ understand XD

Tip: If you're listening to a foreign language song, have some written lyrics in front of you and a translation. It's much easier to understand that way.

This. With Japanese songs you can appreciate the beat and the instruments and stuff used, but with English music you are too busy listening to the lyrics.

I have never used this laminator before, but I hope it goes okay! These tags shouldn't be too hard. Since it looks like we're cutting it fine with the bracelets, I'm just going to bring thread and a needle so I can quickly sew 'em on beforehand or something. ;;;

We are not off topic....we are uhhh hmmm we are talking about music and since most of you seem to be bringing Japanese music to the picnic we are just putting our point of view across relating to said music...yeah that works....that's my story and i am sticking to it. So as you can see we are on topic...

Hahaha. Well, I have a lot of non-lyrical stuff on my iPod (outnumbers the vocal ones probably 10 to 4), so that bridges the gap nicely in any case.

The laminator? Aye, that we did. Can't remember when but we haven't had a chance to use it before now, so it's brand new, but a little dusty.

Most of the songs I listen to I look up the translation and practically learn it. I like knowing what the songs mean.

oh and Re Bracelets; I'm going to have loads more thread so I'll just keep making till I run out lol.

All I can say is that I sorely wish I had an iPod so I could share the stuff I like. Rie Fu is awesome! And English speaking!

I swear, watching the metservice website for weather updates for Saturday should be a sport or something. *has seen it change from sun to rain and back again five times*
