FFX-2 Rikku styling~

Okay- wellygeddon 2010 I have Rikku in her whitemage outfit all ready for saturday. I'm all good with the outfit but.. anyone got some tips on her wacked out hairstyle? My hair is already long and blonde, but I don't have enough to suffice for her massive ponytail AND all the plaits hangind around the headband. Any suggestions? I thought about buying some pre-plaited extensions but I'm not sure where i can get them from...

Also, any ideas on her big red and blue beads that are on the plaits?

You could buy a cheap long blonde wig, cut it up & make the plaits yourself & clip them under the headband.
As for the beads, if you can't find any that size you could make them out of baking clay & glue them to the plaits to them so that they stay. :) (the plaits going through them)

Cut up wig = muchly good idea! But not sure how I would climp them in... My hair doesn't hold clips too well, they tend to just slide out, maybe it would pay to make a secondary band that goes under her actual headband that has the plaits glued to it?

I can try making the beads, any good baking clays? I've tried Fimo before but that tends to fall apart (my poor Umbrion..)

If you keep the wig hair attached to the material/cap thing of the wig, you could sew it to that headband. might be a bit easier & cleaner. :)
& I've never used baking clay >.<" But I've seen all the ones at spotlight, so many colours!

Here my super un-conventional sewing skilly come into use! ((I'm glad I'm taking textiles this year XD I ca learn to sew the proper way!))
I hope they have the right pink and blue :3 I'm going into welly tomorrow so I'll check it out then~

What I would suggest is hair extensions, and then get some sculpey and make the beads, and then glue them onto the extensions when you're done :3

Possibly get some of those GIANT BEADS jewellery that they have at Bling etc. and cut up to scavenge for beads?

I don't really know what they're like though >__>
