PHOTO SCAVENGER HUNT

Wherever there's cosplay, there's photos. Some bad, some really bad, but some incredibly awesome ones too. And, why not? They help us to remember just how much fun we had at that particular meet-up or convention-- so it's time to create some truly epic memories with a scavenger hunt.

So basically the way this is going to work is that each team must get together and take photos corresponding with the provided themes - in cosplay!

Themes!

1. On a boat
2. Cooking (be creative!)
3. Running (ie. dramatic chase scene)
4. Fast food
5. Epic battle!
6. Team Name
7. Cheerleading! (TOTALLY! 8D)
8. Playgrounds
9. JUMP!
10. Sunset
11. Camouflage
12. Shoes (betch)
13. Upside-down!
14. Abbey Road (google is your friend)

All themes are open to interpretation. :3

Rules & Guidelines!

1. You don't have to provide a photo for every theme! Just do as many as possible, and remember, the more themes you cover, the more points you get!
2. No merging themes, please! You can only enter one theme for each photo.
3. In turn, you may only enter one photo for each theme. :3
4. No offensive body language or vulgar images. The PG-13 rules apply here as they do to the forums.
5. Anybody not in cosplay in any of the photos will not go towards your participants count.
6. Once you have all the photos you wish to submit, please send them to Admin in one solitary PM.
7. Once you have submitted your photos, you may submit NO MORE. >|
8. As with the Purikura contest, all photos must be from 2009.
9. Photoshop is not allowed for anything!
10. Be creative! Maybe act in character? Just have funnnnnnnn~! >w<

Judging Criteria!

In this round you will earn points in many different ways!

Firstly, your team will gain 20 points for each photo submitted!
That's a nice 280 points if all themes are covered!

Secondly, for every person present and in cosplay in each photo an additional 5 points will be gained!

Finally, a healthy 20 points will be given to the team that submits the best photo of each theme. ;3

Why, that's more than 560 points up for grabs!

So the photos all have to be from one group? Or can multiple groups (or even individual) submit photos towards the groups entry? I.e. Every in the group votes on the best photo to enter from all the ones taken from different people (Say.. a main group, a separate trio, an idividual person)?

Yes, you can have the same person and costume in multiple photos. :3

To clarify - you may combine themes within the photo, but you may not enter the same photo for two different themes.

Street cosplays are fine as long as the resemble the character. :3

This rule kind of isn't fair on NCIS sweatdrop

as we are spread out and all can't be in the same photo, and we don't have many people signed up for each city. Most of our cities have 2 cosplayers signed up, and palmy had 4 who would cosplay.

Sorry if this comment is like offensive or mean, I just don;t find this very fair in a way, seeing as we lack people, are spread out etc.

Oh well, we shall just do our best and earn points via the other two ways ^__^''

edit: also, When we submit our photos do they just have to be the individual photos or can we like, do a cool layout or something, like have them ontop of a background?

D'aww thanks. I was looking at it and was worrying because I didn't notice til just now.

We tried so hard today, with only a few people. I would totally we crushed if we lost based on that Dx

What about the layout? can we do a themed background or does it just have to be the photos?

Given that photos will be individually judged, I would say please keep them separate. :)
