Babylon 5 By creature124. 04/10/09, 03:59 am |
| So, I am watching the first season of Babylon 5. I downloaded it at a recommendation ages ago, but never got 'round to it till now.
Tbh, I was immediatly put off by the early-nineties CGI, but once I got past that little aversion, this show RAWKS.

| Indeed you did!
Looking at my downloads folder, I am not sure I have aquired season 5 (unless it was distro'd by a different person and is therefore hiding somehwere I'm not looking). I must rectify this. I'm about halfway though season 3 atm. |

| I have the five movies, and 5 seasons on disc. Only missing lost tales.
The CGI was a budget issue, and allows them to do stuff which would be really hard otherwise. Was also the reason it was set mostly in one location, a space station.
For a similar project try firefly. They are both created by fanboys who controlled the writing and the whole process Who did things on half the budget of any other equivalent production Where both great hits amongst sci fi series Both had good character development a tight command team/ships crew an epic back story but lots of side stories 5 series show.
The only difference, firefly did not last a full season before being pulled. And the only way to get all 14 episodes is via DVD. Luckily Josh got to do the movie serenity as a last resort. Which was awesome, but can not beat taking 5 series to tell the story.
M.J.S and J.W. are both freaking Genius Fanboys, able to cross genres and formats. |

| Crusade was a continuation of b5, but on a different tangent. More of a series of one off explorations. More B grade than B5.
I have series 1 of crusade. Was there actually any other series made? |
