a bit about us.....
a brief explanation follows
We are a online comunity

What is visual culture...??. Visual culture is a term covering a wide
range of subjects - from philosophy to music, street fashion to
television media. In recent years its coverage has grown exponentially
to include manga, anime, gaming, cosplay and media such as blogs. NZVC
is a place for enthusiasts of all descriptions to join together and
discuss, debate,discover, meet new people and have fun!
our forums currently cover a always expanding range of topics such as
Gaming, Anime & manga, Trading card games, Graphic Novels, Music, Tv and
Movies, Cosplay,body modification( peircing tatoos ect) Fashion (specialising in japanese fashion..lolita,
visual kei ect),music, peer support and much more we are currently still
expanding after our unfortunate site rebuld and are open to any feedback and sugestions

im sure you (your forum, not you directly) would get enough people from myspace
bulletins to a friend base of over 1000 friends anyway

i wish people would stop posting their forums
it's like advertising united video at blockbusters

im happy where i am and not introductions to another base
(although i have joined olli's i have only posted like twice
and i would rather hang here) it's rude. that goes to everyone too

if you wnat to advertise your forum, don't do it on another forum ><

oh and you might as well put this in your first post too:

its a plugging forum:) for plugging. have sopken to a mod. i did say they could remove it if they had a problem. bessides most video stores accept eachothers mailers :)

i have a few things i would like to add to what Princess had to say.

number one, we have spoken with CNZ mods about this, and it's fine.

number two, forums are for different things. it's more like advertising a Candy Spooky Theatre concert at a Killers gig. there are forums for all sorts of things, not just cosplay.
i also note that you haven't taken exception to the dozens of other forums being advertised on here.

number three, when you openly and mistakenly advertised it was at a volatile time, as you well know, when advertising would have done everyone more harm than good.
now that everyone has sorted out their differences, we'd thank you to do the same.

number four, if you don't like plugging, don't come to the plugging forum.

(and the friendbase is 2500+ now, thankyou. ;3
also, Jeremy Kyle was weeeiiird. balding woman and cute scarred couple. that one was sad. D; )

I believe MissEevee that you yourself said people should be able to voice their opinions on a forum. He's voicing his opinion, no doubt he could've chosen a better thread to do it in, but he does say it is not just your forum that annoys him.

Cyren, thank you for being on cnz, it's nice to have members stick up for us if they think we're being wronged. Despite it not being our wishes. The fact people were advertising forums on cnz grinded on my nerves for awhile... But we have great members, if they join other forums, they join other forums. They're still on here and it's no real loss to us. BUT, if they make good friends on other forums and there is tension between the two, then we may as well be cutting ties with them & it just creates more and more drama. Tact, you were lacking it, sorry.

Adding snide remarks isn't great either gaiz, it is possible that we lose respect for you over such things.

and i voiced an opinion back.
it's pretty obvious to me that it wouldn't have been posted had this been advertising any other forum.
but i'll let it go, since i can't prove that.

anyhow, your support is noted and much appreciated - you and the other mods - it really is helping.
i think having crossovers between the forums would help to ease the tension slightly also, which is part of the reason for this thread.
hopefully it will, anyway. :'D

(@ friendbase thing; t'was a joke. ;3 i just can't wait 'til i have over 9000 friends. that will be an annoying week for my friends. )

get some sleep, for gods' sake. D;

My forum was fine when I advertised it. then you advertised yours and drama begins. We have been drama-free for ages, please don't start anything we dont need more drama. may i suggest if you want to raise an opinon that may cause drama keep it to pms yeah?

sorry kiki but thats the pot calling the kettle black i shall be gone :) duckeh and eevee looked to have things well sorted so jumping in after it seemed settled i would call trying to re stir the drama. :) just my opinion.

it was jess i spoke to i said if it realy did grind ur gears you guys could pull it down :) and emphisised i didnt want to upset people. maybe now it has and people are trying to re stir the pot (wich is empty :) ) the thread shud be locked or taken down :)
