First off Hi, nice to meet you all.

I just found out about Doujin Overload, and it looks like sweet fun. Saw a video of this dance too, and it doesn't look -too- hard to pick up in a week.

I have an Urahara costume I bought in the states, complete with hat. no sword or sandals unfortunately.

If you need/want me, let me know asap at creature124@gmail.com so i can get details and start practicing >_< god knows im gonna need it.

um hinoame, what time during DO do we do this and the lucky star? I know you wrote it somewhere but I can't find it ;;

Alrighty, i'll get on that then. Now, ive never been to DO, so quick question - is the stuff sold there strictly fan-made? All of the anime/manga cons I went to in the states had dealers rooms full of offical merchandise, but then those were general cons, not doujin-specific.

I might look into getting Sandals and wig before the con, if they can ship from the US fast enough. Its isnt too grand right now - my hairs too dark, and it just isnt the same with sneakers. I have a piccy of what I look like in the cosplay at Ohayocon 2008 here:

Oh, question. Are we doing the whole song, or just the chorus? I mean, sure, the song mostly consists of the chorus, but im just checking.

Three hours later, I more or less have the chorus down. However, based on the videos I can find, im having a great deal of difficulty analyzing the moves from the verses. Assuming we are doing the versus, can anyone give me any tips? Or are we going to have a practice session at DO or something?

and we'll be doing the dance between 4.30pm to 5pm near the end of the event =3

btw there's gonna be another meet on monday and we'll be practicing the lucky star dance then so if you can come please do =3

Aww crap. You wouldn't happen to know where the full transcript is would you? I'm terrible at memorizing Japanese lines unless I can see them written down.

As for Monday...I work until 5pm ish, sadly. When is it? I work 8-5 (inc travel time) monday to friday. Anytime outside that i can make it.

tyvm, Ill get right on that. At least I can know for certain I only have to figure out what Urahara does. Should be easier, since the camera on the youtube vids always seems to be on him or Gin.

>_< Don't let lil' ol' me stop you. If you want to do Urahara, then do it, but since I'll be in cosplay as him it pretty much means I have to drop out of the dance. Do whatever ever is best for the group as a whole, don't worry about offending me or anything.

That being said, if I am still in, I need to know time and venue for that practice so I can judge if I can make it in time. Worst comes to worst, I'll be a little late. Even if I'm out, I might attend anyway, 'tis a good opportunity to meet people.

just because im doing urahara doesnt mean that youll have to drop out

i mean not many people know about this anyways XD there isnt even a yachiru in the bleach dance and more than half of us won't be cosplaying bleach characters anyways and practice will prolly be at about 5/6pm till whenever and it will be in the city maybe at AUT or albert park whichever is more convinient

Point taken. I didn't think of it like that.

A 6pm start would be SO MUCH BETTER for me. Work ends at 4:30, and if I bolt out (avoiding the customary beer o'clock) I can probably make it into the city by 6 if I avoid the motorway. I might still be late, but not nearly as late as I would be if it started at 5 XD
