THE EPIC AUCKGEDDON 3 DAY FLASHMOB

ATTENTION: TIMES HAVE BEEN DECIDED. PLEASE CHECK IF IT SUITS YOU.

As per suggestions, we're going to have a flashmob on each day. EPIC 3 DAY FLASHMOB - LARP MOB UPDATE Icon_razz

The ideas were:

At a certain agreed time, you all collapse. Then revive 2 minutes later. [make sure you are looking at your watch D8]
Conga Line
Collapse + Freeze?
CaramellDansen (there's a mass caramelldansen line topic on this one)
Dinosaur stalking Fred
Epic short dramatic LARPing fighting/battle

For the collapsing one, some people may have fragile costumes and would not be suitable for lying on the ground. So those people might kneel over a dead person or something and look like they're crying or mourning over them, etc.

Now, to do list:
~~Organise which flashmobs go on which day~~
~~Organise time (of the day).~~
~~Organise flashmob time limit~~
~~Organise location~~
~~Organise who to look for to gather in around the area?~~
~~Someone to sound the alarm (maybe contact Bill?)~~

Saturday
Conga Line
1:45pm
5 minutes? Longer if people are enjoying themselves... lol
Outside the main entrance, where you buy your tickets. (Can anyone tell me if the where this is going to be, and is the area big enough?)

Gather around a person with a megaphone, in a white dress with purple ribbons - who is the head of the conga line. On the signal start joining onto the line. Keep your hands to yourself! Don't touch in places where people could be sensitive about! (e.g. thighs, butts, etc). Don't steal stuff from people's bags either! Don't be tempted to touch parts of cosplays that your common sense tells you not to! Don't break it! etc etc
Conga for the remainder of the time (hopefully the line will have grown to an epic proportion) and the the leader will signal the end. Start breaking up.

Sunday
Massive sudden collapse and freeze
10:35am
2 minutes

Gather around a person as above (WITH A MEGAPHONE) and on the signal, all suddenly freeze on the spot or all suddenly collapse on the ground like you're dead. You may choose depending on which is easier for you if you're in a tricky/delicate costume, etc. Once the two minutes is up, I plan to play the Pokemon Center Healing music from my phone with a megaphone to signal the end. I don't know how well this will work, but it should be OK, I'm guessing.

Monday
Epic short dramatic LARPing fighting/battle
3:30pm - changed due to cosplay judging
3 minutes?
Where we had the cosplay chess. The area outside where all the hotdog stands were and the amusement rides.

Look for a person as above.
Come with a sparring buddy, or find one when you arrive. You can also come as a group and fight as one too, preferably with some sort of idea planned (so you will know what to do beforehand). You can discuss and plan out the battle scene before the mob starts, so on the signal you can act out your epic fight scene.
You can use magic, melee, archery, slap fights, Pokemon battle, etc. whatever you can come up with. The more variety the better!
After the 3 minutes is up, an FF7 Victory Fanfare will play and signal to tell you.

There is already a LARP, and a FRED battle, and cosplay chess followed by dancing. So I suggest something different. Freeze, slow run and scatter run are the obvious ones, but I am sure someone can suggest something different.

We could all stalk Fred and dinosaur her?

This is why someone needs to make a master list of what cosplay events are on at what time, etc. DX

But yesh, flashmob definitely a yes. :3 We could do it on Monday also if we can't fit it into Sunday or something.
