Anime channel?

I was just chatting to Bloo and saying that there should be an NZ Anime channel or something like that, comments, opinions and suggestions? I would do a poll but I have no idea how and I think I can't >.>

A segment on Cartoon Network for "Adults"
They played "Adult Swim" shows and anime like Bleach, Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell etc~

It only started ater 10.30, monday to thursday orz

I think that we have enough anime viewers to justify a channel but most of them do not want to make themselves known, I know tons of closet anime watchers, and if there was an anime channel then they would support it, but it will never happen (or if it does noone will know about it and it will leave like Adult Swim)

I seriously think that Sky should add it - there'd be enough sky viewers to justify it IMO.

Cartoon Network is so fail, oh I miss back in the day when they had more anime ~~and better cartoons.~~
But yeah, the first anime I watched (that I knew was actually anime) was on CN~ =3

In Southeast Asia, they have a cable channel called Animax and it shows Anime 24/7 ^-^ I watched it all the time at my grandm'a house : D
I wish we got it here D:
I mean, not that I'd get to see it (no cable for us here but my Grandma in S'pore has... ; ; )
but that'd be sweet!

Hmm, to mainstream TV I don't think it would seriously happen, there's just not enough people to justify it, and the best you're gonna get is stuff like Yugioh and Pokemon -- stuff that will appeal to children and/or has marketing powerz!

Sky though, I think that's a possibility. Perhaps not an anime ~channel~ per se, but if there was a petition with enough signatures, they might put in more anime or perhaps reintroduce Adult Swim, they just have to be aware that there is a large niche for it.

'course, that wouldn't help me any because I don't have Sky and I like watching the subbed versions anyway XD

The anime channel in Singapore has dual sound: English, and Japanese with chinese subtitles~
(Sadly I don't know chinese so i have to watch a cruddy dub T^T )
