Petrol costs to Auckgeddon?

I've never been to Auckland before, so I'm pretty clueless, do any of you know how much on average it costs to drive to Auckland & back from Palmerston North? Petrol costs to Auckgeddon? 586737

Costs a bit.. Basically allow for at least a tank of gas either way depending on what you drive.
Also don't forget about parking costs depending on where you stay. If they have parking, sweet, if not, you might have to pay.
Also background don't forget running costs. Tyres/etc, usually not a biggie, but make a mental note of it anyway.

yeah, i ran afoul of that once.. it cost me as much in parking as the room did. you only need to do that once and you'll remember it every time. :/

In my car (tiny little fuel efficient thing) a trip to auck and back from Hillcrest is about 1/2 a tank but driving around the city etc can easily push it up to 3/4 of a tank. also the heavier your car (more ppl) the more petrol it will suck up

a trip to auck can cost up to around $60 in gas
