I like the idea of silk, too. :C
Then again, perhaps the people who don't want to buy silk should decide between them on a different material? :\ Seeing as if we're not all going to match we ought to at least have the next best thing and have matching *groups*... xD

I'd like to match with Arisa/Neptune at the very least but eh. D:

What about leotards? :\ I was thinking of just buying one and building over it since I don't know if I could make one, but I'm on a tight budget and don't know if I want to buy patterns as well as fabric. Would buying a pattern and fabric be more or less expensive than buying a leotard and building over it? Considering that I am not fantastic at sewing and will be having enough trouble with the skirt and collar... xDDD
And bootsies... hm. What shall I do for my bootsies...
We're doing weapons, too, aren't we? :'D That's the one thing I'm pretty sure I can actually do, LOL

She's getting hers made if I remember rightly, so she can probably ask for certain materials.

Leotards can be expensive but so can be the cotton/lycra or whatever material. Common sense says that it will be cheaper to make it, but if you factor in time/effort/making ability... lol. Unfortunately for us, white leos can be harder to find here since white isn't an official colour for NZ ballet schools. We should be able to find some though.

Bootcovers will work well on the boots, unless you're amazing and can actually find coloured boots like that lol!

Yeah, I did *think* it would be cheaper to make it... but I also don't completely trust myself with a sewing machine and I don't want to accidentally destroy any perfectly good fabric... furthermore I am extremely lazy and will put off making the blasted thing for as long as possible if I think it looks too hard. xD

I would rather make it myself; just not sure if that's gonna work because I suck. :\
White leotards shouldn't be too awful to find, I wouldn't think. :\ Perhaps I'll poke around for some, and if I can't find any within my price range (which is not a very *high* price range as I am a cheapskate) I will be forced to get off my lazy bum and make it, lol.

Lol yeah I'll just go down to No.1 Shoe Warehouse and find some navy blue pumps with random ribbon... strap things around them, should be easy! What do you think would be best for making the boot covers? I mean, I want it to match my skirt/collar/etc. but I don't think silk is a good thing to put on shoes... is it? XD
I'll have to look for... er... something... and I ought to get started soon or I'll put it off and then start like the day before I fly up for Arma, LOL. I am such a procrastinator... I haven't worked out half my Geddon cosplays rofl. I've got like... two for certain... xD
OH WELL that just means I have more time to make them! 8D

Haha yeah.Erm we could, but we'd have to put zips into the covers. If you use lycra or something stretchy it'd work better. According to the tutorials I have anyway haha. There's that new girl on the forums who said she has tons of colours of lycra, we could give that a go?

What I'm doing for the boots is getting satin for the skirt and bows but a matching non shiny purple for the boots

Yeah, well, that's pretty reasonable. :\ I think I'll most likely do that since I'd be much too scared to wear a leotard that I had made myself, LOL.
