Final FantasyX By Willuknight. 19/06/08, 02:50 pm |
| Ok MidSummerSnow loaned this to me so i thought i'd make some comments while playing it.
Currently 3 hours into it.
So far its more like a movie with a broken play button, you have to keep on grabbing the control and jabbing play to continue with the movie.
Rikku's voice actress sounds uber kawaii, but i don't like Yuna's as much and the main character is really really annoying. Less annoying then he was at the start, but still anoying.
willuknight@gmail.com says: whats the name of that guardian dude in that first town that keeps on wanting you to go to sleep? willuknight@gmail.com says: the guy who recruited your player for his blitzball tourny Steph says: Wakka? willuknight@gmail.com says: yeaaah! willuknight@gmail.com says: wakakakawaka look at me im pacman! Steph says: XD Steph says: lmao willuknight@gmail.com says: Yeah its really creepy how he keeps on asking me if i want to rest or sleep willuknight@gmail.com says: i get scary yaoi vibes from him Steph says: LOL. "Hey Tidus, you can sleep in MY bed." willuknight@gmail.com says: EXACTLY!
Also is it just me or does Yuna seem really really desperate? Oh Tidus, come and ride in my boat...... WINK WINK. Can't say i blame her though, what with being trapped underneath a temple for a few days with some scary goth chick and a furry! |

| I looove FFX, though I do agree, it is more like a DVD with a broken play button that gets jammed a lot later on. -_-;;
It's exceptional in terms of storytelling later on, though, and because of the crazy levelling system, you can make unlikely characters into powerhouses later in the game.
Example?
My Yuna hits harder than Tidus, and knows almost every spell. Black, and white. x3 |

| when i saw his costume i was like seriously what the hell, did you mug some poor german school boy and steal his clothes? Given his other suggestive comments about wanting me to sleep so he can do who knows what, it wouldn't surprise me....

Re: Final FantasyX By Pseudonym. 20/06/08, 05:06 pm |
| I played this a long time ago when I borrowed it off a friend, I never finished it before returning it, I have to agree on the slightly-interactive-movie though, it felt so linear, and the main characters really annoyed me, that being said, I still enjoyed what I did play of it. (I liked most of the other characters, but I can't remember their names now)
I actually have X, and X-2 lying around here -somewhere- but I haven't played them yet.
To be honest, I've never finished any final fantasy game, even though I own at least 4 of them *ponders* I'm terrible for finishing rpgs, as much as I love them. |

Re: Final FantasyX By Guest. 21/06/08, 11:04 am |
| My brothers and sisters all played this before I got a chance to start and because I dont like spoilers I kept having to run out of the room during the cutscenes.
Now my sister replays it practically every summer and usually follows it with X-2 and can now recite most of the dialogue from heart *ugh*. They also usually get at least one character to completely fill the sphere grid, and I think a few of times they actually completely filled it for all of the characters. And once I dared my sister to not spend her sphere levels until she had 99 to see what happens when you go over. Nothing, it turned out
But it was the first FF I'd ever played, and I love it for that. Even though Tidus whinges worse than Cloud and Squall put together, but he does have the best reason! I saw the graphics and completely fell in love. Love love love. Of course, that level of graphics is NORMAL now, but when it came out it was out of this world!! |

As much as I love great graphics, I can quite happily play the oldest blockiest games and hardly notice. Infact some of the newer games I see, the graphics look so good it hurts my eyes

I like a bit of variety, I absolutely love the combat system in fable, but I also like being able to chill with turn-based, and while I think I've only played the first disk of ff7 (I seem to keep restarting the game before I finish it... ), I also like the active-time based (or whatever it's called) |

| This is my first ever FF game ever. =P I'm still playing it now in my spare time. I don't have very high expectations, so I quite liked this game. Ok, maybe it does have a few bad bits *cough* Tidus *cough* I quite liked this game overall. I've still yet to finish it (even though I know how it ends) XDDD |

Re: Final FantasyX By Guest. 24/06/08, 03:28 am |
| I like the main characters. And it was the first FF I played. The first time I played it I got stuck at Mi'hen Highroad because it was so long I thought it had glitched and was just replaying the same screen over and over lmao. (I was 13). I still think FFX's FMV sequences are amazing. The regular gameplay graphics aren't bad - but when I was thirteen they were the best thing since sliced bread. XD I don't mind the linear gameplay too much, as I'm almost solely into rpg's for the story - so I can happily sit there and watch a 45 minute cut-scene. XD
If you think Wakka and Kimahri's clothes are wierd, try moving in Lulu's. There's this one FMV - - Spoiler:
in Bevelle where they all have to slide down on wires from the airship and flip over and stuff. They totally exclude Lulu from that scene, because she obviously could never pull it off in that...Belt-suit.

| Oh that's right and in
- Spoiler:
Luca where they have to jump ship to save Yuna from the Al Bhed Lulu totally disapears- I think she uses Transporting Magic though ?
Yeah the Graphics are amazing , used to have fun memories playing Final Fantasy X and Kingdom Hearts at the same time xd
Tidus's voice is a little annoying in English and wish you could change the voices to Japanese with subs.. Though Tidus is meant to be a little bit of a goofy guy, so love him much anyways ^_^
Mi'hen Highroad is a pain because of that
- Spoiler:
Boss that you have to beat up by the Beach- He's Evil !! Though think that Temple of the lost King in Final Fantasy VIII is the most annoying puzzle, because they really do use the same background over and over...
Though nothing is bad as - Spoiler:
Seymour !
