| Sadly I think it's just the small bottles. But they do go a lot further than you might think... |

| You can actually paint on fabric using normal acrylic~ Do a test piece first for washability, but I know it's possible as some friends of mine are painting kimonos with just plain acrylics.
Or if you want HUUUUUGE pots of fabric paint then you should be able to use textile ink pots bought from artsupplies.co.nz |

| Yea, those little pots at Spotlight do go a long way. I used hardly any painting the tails for my Fai coat.
Nanashi top took a bit more, but I did about five layers for each bit >___> & screwed up at first so had to wash it away T_T |

| Well it's a tabard, so it covers my chest + belly and stuff, with thinner bits extending down to my knees at front and back. And I need to cover a decent amount of it with yellow, basically. |

Re: Fabric paint? 8D By azeria. 22/09/09, 12:43 pm |
| is it going on a lighter or darker colour? If it's going on a darker you may need to build it up in layers, which will obviously use more paint.
Though I think there's something you can mix with acrylic to basically turn it to fabric paint (aka washable =P)
Not sure what eactely it is though sorry =P |

- Yeah - if you're ironing on anything other than white the colour you're ironing on will be tinted by the colour of the fabric. The only way around this, I've found, is to paint the back of the iron on paper where your colour ink is with white fabric paint before ironing it on - that way the ink has a white background to it, and won't be tinted by the fabric colour. It doesn't look very nice this way though, imo...
I way thinking of trying this. But I want to do black lettering onto a Orange T-shirt. So bleeding should not be a problem? |

| Black ink on a lighter colour should be absolutely fine. C: You wouldn't need to paint the back of the ink with white fabric paint because black is basically immune to tint, lol. |
