LOVE.

This movie made me so happy on so many levels.

My not-so-inner costume nut was hyperventilating over the seas of gorgeous costumes, the part of me that adores period dramas of all varieties was satisfied(after telling my inner history nerd to STFU about accuracy) and my deeply repressed inner romantic got to have her yearly outing.

It is not a deep movie. It is not a challenging movie. It's simply charming, sweet, endearing and entertaining.

Good enough for me.

Totally with you Thornback ;) Just got home from seeing it myself.

I swear there was a TV miniseries or one off movie on the same theme a few years back.. help me IMDB, you're my only hope...

i would duckeh! but alas you are in wellington u.u
i do victorian and regency dancing (thank you so much highlander)
and part of the reason was to have an excuse to wear victorian and regency era clothing. CHCH WHOS KEEN TO WATCH IT WITH MEEEE???
