Wings!

As the subject says, I am looking at making a set of wings for an original-character cosplay at auckygeddon.

The wings when complete will hopefully be on a similar scale to those of angel from x-men 3.

I am looking for suggestions for a sturdy, but light material to use as the basic frame for the wings (have not decided if I will make them expandable or not)

as for the feathers for the wings I will either use black duck or goose feathers.

I made my Ultimecia wings with a chicken wire base :)

I also made a set of wings with a chicken wire base and dowling for support. However my wings were rather small (Cain Nightroad's wings from the Trinity Blood Artbook).

There are quite a few good tutorials out there for making wings if you search a bit :)

I wanna make cool wings.... Where do people get feathers from, I don't find many geese around here, and I've noticed the one that I plucked didn't have enough (JK, I'd never hurt an animal xD)
