Cosplay meet ups!

As you all know, Geddon is only once a year and some of us poor people can\'t make it to other countries or cities for cosplay cons or other things so what we thought about was having cosplay meet ups. It would give us a chance to make good plans for next years events and also become better friends with people we have met.

I would love to meet new people, We could even introduce new people into cosplaying this way, we could also have cool contests and video all of the funny parts and chuck them onto youtube. I think it would be a great way to meet others and also to share Ideas.

if anyone is interested then let me know. (Mello/Moly, Tobi/Megan and I thought of this)

Omg. We could even be more nerdy and make a bebo page for the newzealand cosplayers!

Wellington already does this heaps; the Auckland people generally hang out with their friends in the fandom a bit anyway... Christchurch is the only place that doesn't, and we don't have enough cosplayers for it to really be feasible to try and do anything but meet up, in my opinion.

Also, those in Christchurch that do cosplay are fragmented around and generally have schedules that'd make meet-ups difficult.

For all that it's worth, do try though. Just getting even a little group of CHCH cosplayers together would be fun, if hard. That, and I'd feel a leetle bit daunted by the fact all the cosplayers in Christchurch that cosplay hardcore and make the entirety of their own costumes and stuff are all in their late teens/twenties. xD

There are hardly any. It would be nice to try though.
I want to try and get as many people together as I can.

Would be a mission but well worth it.

Oh good idea! but we need some meet ups in Palmerston North too. Unless I am the only one who lives near there........then it's just sad ~3~

Hey, if you can get started pulling people together at least, then I'll be happy to help find out convenient times and ideas for locations, too~

Uwaa~ You know what would be fun to do someday as a group cosplay outing?

Lazer Strike. All in more casual cosplay; like Death Note characters or FFVII Turks.

Man, if you find people, we should totally do that.

It would be made of win.

tis not a small meet up but I'll put it here anyway: we're actually starting to organise our cosplay reunion-picnic thing but it will be in Timaru. Because half of us are in chch and the other half down south. Timaru is pretty much in the middle, and much easier for those down south to get to.

um... actually there are quite a few cosplayers in christchurch, off the top of my head I know at least 15 not including all the contacts I now have and are getting from after geddon this year =D

But I'm total keen for cosplay meet ups, is one being organised now???? Lets do one soooon! Um um though just warn me a week in advance so I can contact the others and also reserve the day OFF work. =D

I would love to come. I will make sure Tobi and Mello come also >;P.
I don't mind going to Timaru because that would be really fun.
Trip plus cosplay and seeing everyone again,

We hung out at the gardens and did some fun random things.
I would enjoy doing it more often. n_____n
