I saw this video, shat bricks laughing. Now I want to cosplay the Blue Spy from TF2.

So, anyone wanna make me a blue suit like that one? It needs to be well-made - the Spy's image is that of a clean gentleman in a well tailored suit and a slightly aristocratic manner, and a poorly made suit (ie something that I make myself) would ruin the entire costume.

I want to do it for sakes of infinite re-usablility - change the mask, and suddenly you are a totally different character! Anyone who has ever played TF2 knows what I mean 8D

Yup, I can do it - when do you want it? I have pictures of the suits I made Alex and Rikki if you want a look. Labour price would be $200 (jacket, pants, we could talk about a waistcoat) plus materials; I'd have to look around for fabric costs, but it'd be close to a hundred I think. Bags not doing the mask, though....e_____e! HOW. JUST WHAT.

So maybe a little over 300? I can stomach that (though my credit card may disagree). I don't mind paying that for a costume that is, in essence, EVERY COSTUME.

I was looking over the video...I sort of got the impression that the mask was made out of some sort of stretchy fabric? I dunno. It'd probably be cut really strangely, then sewed at the back, I would guess...

As for when....Auckgeddon would be nice, if that is enough time. //doesn't sew, has no idea about the effort involved.

Hm...masks are iffy, I'd really like to have your head to try it on you if I was gonna pick it up - I don't make them often (or, you know, AT ALL) so I'm not 100% confident. I'll give it a shot though, lol, I'll try and bring it up when I'm in aucks in a couple of weeks. You may have to come and find the photoshoot though Razz

Also: do you want a waistcoat, or just jacket and pants? It MIGHT be doable by geddon, if we get onto it like now. And the rest of the forums don't decide I'm irresistible.

Hrm, unless I am totally off the mark on what a waistcoat is, it doesn't have sleeves, so a jacket would probably be better!

Depending on when said photoshoot is, I could probably make it. We will need to nut out the details for that, but if you could do the mask too, you'd be my favourite person forever. I dunno what I would do for it otherwise....Taking a closer look, the mask that dude has a seam running from the top down the back of his head, though if sizing really is an issue, maybe some elastic at the back might make it more size variable? I dunno.
