Games that need or deserve sequels By Saiyajin Mui. 22/07/09, 11:47 am |
| As the title states, what games do you folks think deserves or needs a sequel?
One I have in mind would be putting the Onimusha series onto the PS3. The games were really fun and the graphics looked very good for the PS2's standards, as well as Dawn of Dreams having a open ending.
Another would be Legend of Dragoon. That one was generally an overlooked PS1 RPG. |

| call me old-fashioned, but i think a re-make and/or sequel to DrakenGard would be sweet.
the graphics could be so much better now. and dragons in games are win. (:

Old fashioned would be asking for a sequel to Space Invaders or Pong.
Oh god, I can see it now... |

| Tetris has had over 200 remakes, where honestly only a few are good. All Tetris needs is good controls, spectacular music and lots of challenge modes.
For me, I really think a game that deserves a sequel would be Shining Soul II - a GBA dungeon crawler from the roots of Baldurs Gate which was pretty damn fun. A DS sequel would work perfectly, as it is missing some good ol' classic dungeon crawling fun. |

Sheldon and I always plot ideas for a Shining Soul DS game. >>
I wouldn't mind a sequel to FF9... maybe I dunno. :3 |

| The DS lacks good dungeon crawling games, Heroes of Mana is alright - but Shining Soul was just a whole lot more fun. |

After watching Advent Children & Last Order agree with this ^_^
Don't know if anybody knows it but there was a game on the Atari/ Sega called Space Harrier. Where you go around shooting up aliens and using a white lion to help you on the way ( Kinda like the floating white dog from the Never Ending story ) It was just really fun. Wouldn't mind a sequel/ remake. There was a sequel in the 90's but not sure if it came out of Japan..

| ^ 0-0 Did you hear that SE is going to make another FF VII sequel on the ps3 as Genesis as the bad guy ??
DOC would of been okay with the shooting controls were a little bit user-friendly and maybe if they didn't focus too much on trying to make Vincent look "cool "..
last Order ruined Cloud's heroic moment by Sephiroth jumping into the Mako instead..
And Advent Children ruined the series by changing the characters too much and focusing on the OTT battles and motorbike chases..
Bad FF VII sequels..
Very Bad.. ( In a humble view ).. very Ridiculous ! |

| yaaay~ More Genesis~ -fangirl-
I thought the original FFVII was kind of average, personally. I'm a fan of the sequels~
Anyway; I kind of want a sequel to Persona 3 and 4.
A HUGE MISH-MASH OF THE TWO. WITH RYOJI AND TEDDIE TEAMING UP TO PURSUE ALL THE GIRLS OF THE WORLD... OR SOMETHING. C8 |

| Psi-Ops for the Playstation 2. Not to mention the fact that ending the game with "to be continued" is lame, it is one heck of a great game that most of my PS3 games can't match. |

| I'm wanting a sequel to Suikoden 3, I mean they've gotten to what appears to be the final part of the story and then decide to expand the universe more by going to prequels. While I'm happy that the universe got expanded, Suikoden 4 was a big step back in the story (and not that good either). Suikoden 5 was ok though. Then Tiekeris came and started a new Suikoden universe (which I still need to get around to playing).
Basically, I want an actual conclusion for the first Suikoden Universe, I mean we only know of 17 of the 27 True Runes and even then we don't know what some of those 17 can do. So many loose ends that have been left untouched. |

| Eternal Darkness sequel would be brilliant.
I'm also thinking Rule of Rose, but don't know if a sequel would ever work in a game like that. Actually no sequel please. I want a spiritual successor.

| They said recently they are really wanting to make a sequel to Eternal Darkness. So chances are that will happen <:
Also, theres a game called "Okamiden" being covered by Famitsu next week. Most people have already assumed its the sequel to Okami, so hopefully it is xD |
