Vocaloid headphones? By Blooberry. 11/06/09, 12:09 pm |
| So I'm thinking of doing a Vocaloid cosplay as Rin and Len with either my friend Ani or my twinling, and I can make most of the cosplay but I'm stuck on the earphone things they wear. :/ Help, please? I need to know what I can make them from. |

| Ummm... I'd say... some sort of cardboard? And maybe stuff some sponge inside?
Okay, maybe not. Hmmm... I had this brilliant idea but it just flew out of my head. :/ Get a headband as a base... and then maybe some foam... wires to do the details?
DX Sorry! I can't think of anything right now! |

| I have an old pair of earmuffs lying around (they're gutted - they used to have a mp3 player in them >_>).
They are similar to these here:

| Using cheap $2 headphones can also work :3 What I did for my len headphones was use my old cheapo headphones and using that as a base I constructed a box around the phones with cardboard and papier mached. Oho. All I need to do now is paint it then put gloss over it (for gloss you can use clear nail polish)
I have no idea if that worked for you. |

| Tammy-- I find some brands of cheap clear nail polish, like the kind from the $2 shop, tend to sap up/dilute the color of acrylic paint, making it less vibrant or less... what's 'pekat' in english?? |

| you don't have to make them. you can buy headphones + mics from computer stores - i happened to have an old pair in my geek drawer, and have just added pink to them to make them Tonarine Sai's.
