Question on driving times :D

Question, guys - how long does it take to drive to Dunners from Christchurch? And if anyone knows, how long is the drive from Queenstown to Dunedin? I'm on a mission to avoid paying $230 each way for flying direct... stare

I'm told the Chch route is long like a bad Cher movie, but it's also very cheap to rent a car there. Ah, expenses!

5hrs from chch to dunners going at a normal pace, but it can be done in 3 if speeding like a madman.

as for queensie, it's about 2 1/2-3 hours from dunedin if i remember right?

Yeah. I drove to dunners and back for the first time a few weeks ago and it was a bit much... ^^

PLANES ARE MUCH COOLER. AND FASTER. AND LESS LIKELY TO MAKE YOU CRANKY FOR DRIVING 5ISH HOURS.

It depends if you like long drives.
I love just getting in my car and turning up the music and going for a long drive

The road is so good now the drive is actually about 4 1/2 hours. But then add on any stops, etc. Think that Lucy is probably about right on the Queenstown one, it takes a while.
