Thoughts on Pokemon, Part 2

Another thought occured to me about Pokemon. I got it whilst playing Emerald.

The Battle Frontier *or tower in Ruby/Saphire*

To gain access to it the hero of the game must defeat all 8 gyms, beat the elite four, save the world from destruction brought about by two seperate criminal organisation WHICH the character must also defeat and disband. Of course the area is only open after beating the elite four.

Fair enough, thats a fairly decent reward to go with being announced the champion of Hoenn; your own facility where you can further your skills to cement your placde as the greatest trainer in the region.

HOWEVER

Upon arriving at said facility. You are met by a barrage of people, who ARE NOT THE CHAMPION OF HOENN (to my knowledge) OR saviours of the planet OR responsible for the disbanding of criminal organisations.

So why the frakk are they permitted to this island when the main character, who by this point has a very extensive list of accomplishments, has had to work his/her ass off to get there.

That, to me, sounds like the unfair favouritism and cruelty. To not allow somebody access to this island until they have gone through many scenarios in which there has been a very strong probabliity of that person dying.

Shame on you Battle Frontier/Tower.

Well thats that thought over. There will be more. Be sure of that.

'cause the game is super unfair.

i've thought of this too.

or maybe, just maybe, the whole "save the world" thing is a huge set up, and 398428746245 kids do it every year and it's all just a test for BattleFrontier?
that option makes me feel unimportant though.
i TOTALLY saved the pkmn world. u.u
