Hello fellas - I've recently been put in touch with a woman working at The New Dowse, and she's involved in putting on a cosplay exhibition by chinese artist Cao Fei. Her work is mainly video, and she has a strong interest in cosplay. The lady's asked me if the cosplay community in Wellington is interested in contributing "in any way, shape or form" - is anybody interested in this? She's totally open to ideas - they could include putting some costumes up on display, she mentioned having bands playing; if you play an instrument at a professional level (Madja? Razz) and are keen to perform, that's an option too!

Brainstorm ideas here - this is a really amazing opportunity for cosplay, so if you have any ideas AT ALL please put them forward! I haven't actually replied to her yet lol, I wanted to tell you guys first XD I'm gonna give her a call next week probably, after DO, so any ideas before then I can pass on would be awesome!

Golly. The New Dowse just so happens to be very very close to my school.

My form teacher is also a fashion teacher. She'll be wanting to take students along. And then she'll come talking to me about it. And then I'll be "Ehehehe... Well that one over there? That's mine."

Oh hell yeah xD lmao. My cosplays are Madja-sized so it'd be a bit like "Why is this one so small compared to the others?" Razz

Ho-hum! I'd be playing mostly VG (coughffpianocollectionscough) music if at all (I really need to get back my classical repertoire sometime >__>) but I guess that sort of ties in with the theme...? Hmm... I have an AC!Tifa coslay. Canonically Tifa knows how to play the Piano 8D

Uh, the image that popped into my head was loads of dress-forms dressed in various cosplays (let's get a mini one for Madj!)

Other than that, I was thinking perhaps you could have some in-progress pics of the various costumes and maybe a short commentary on how long it took/how it was done?
