Making Illua FF:TA2 cosplay with 1 reference picture

*thought i'd just reuse the same thread, hope that's ok

HELLO~~~

I went looking for FF9 cosplays (for the geddon 010 group) and FOUND THIS LOVELY LADY!!!

Spoiler:

So, I have hit a wall...
Can't find any other pictures of her >_<
Which means NO PICTURES OF HER BACK Shocked

So how would you make it?

I can see 1 arm is different to the other (has armor?)
im guessing there are 2 spikes at the bottom on the top on the back (similar to the front)
the 2 sleeves (top layer) are the same?
2 sleeves (black/purple under layer) they seem different....
stockings/shoes stop at the knee? full length?
necklace... um... what to make it out of?
nails could be tricky to stick on?
red on socks/boots maybe put on the day of wearing costume?

WIG? though doesnt come in the right colour >_<

yes any help/tips/what you would do/not do is warmly welcomed ^_^

...I believe that's her name on the picture lol. FFTA2 is the second Final Fantasy Tactics game released for the nintendo handheld gaming systems - the first on was on GBA, the second on DS. Alex should know more though, he's played the game.

'WOW!!! she looks like she can handle herself and she's not wearing anything to reveling! oh and add onto the i have no idea where to start on it. LET'S DO IT!!!'

i've been looking for a cosplay that would mean i have to up my sewing skills... to me this should do it ^_^
i'll need to be really attentive when sewing on the lace things on and i think the sword shall be epic fun to make!

now... if only there were more reference pictures... there only the one that i can find >_<

She looks so pretty!!! If you want any help sorting out where to start/how to make let me know I already have a few ideas just looking at the pic. Are there any other characters like her? As I said she's pretty and her clothes look somewhat easy to make.

Yes but when would I find the time to make Frimelda's costume/accessories and the Cardcaptors one I have planned? Might have to work a few things out.... But then groups are so much cooler!!

I think the boots stop at the knee.

Ok here I go. Starting from white top, the sleeves look to be the same except that the L arm has something like an armband armour overtop of another armband looking like the same material/colour (possibly make armband armour out of stiffer fabric as it wraps around the arm but dont forget the chain thingy looping from it. It also looks like a catfish). They have what looks to be a spiderweb pattern material for lining. The piping around the edge could be achieved by sewing gold rope piping in the shape but then you probably wont get the look you wont using that technique.The silver/grey patterns on the white top looks to be sewn on (if you look closely you can see 'stitch' lines). The necklace thing might be lace stiffened and shaped (I'm a bit iffy on this one sorry).

The shoulder armour looks easy to make the only problem would be the
material - maybe just some glue stiffened material over a mould so you
can have the vieny pattern it seems to have, they can be held together
by coloured string.

The bottom of the white top looks like, as you suggested, has 2 more triangles at the back (it could be my imagaination but there looks to be a peek of another triangle thingy inbetween the belts/book thingy). The black top underneath looks to have a lacey edge to the neckline and the L cuff 9but not the R).

For the purple pants, they're sort of like colots (sp?, the big baggy pants) but they have 2 ribbon things coming from both sides of the cuffs but the inside one only has a single strand whereas the outside one seems to have a few branching off (possibly 4?). They also seem to have a red lining (see underside of the ribbon thingys).

The boots look to be like medieval ones - made of soft leather with woodens patterns (the wooden platform things), they seem to go up to the knees with some sort of deoration at the tops.

The belts wont be hard to fake, just the silver decorations will be fidley to make.
