Miku/Kaito skit...

yeah, so i'm thinking of reviving my three year old Vocaloid cosplay in 2010.
as Miku again!
and the best part is i've found a Kaito! <3

but i'm having trouble convincing him to perform the song i want to do.
HE CAN SING.
very well.
we've done karaoke together 29837465 times.
(okay, about 10...but still!)
and gone to town in cosplay together.
so it's not as though he's shy or anything. /:

this is the song i want to sing.
just the chorus though, since our skits have to be so short. (:

any ideas on how to make him stop being so anti?
or convince him that people won't laugh at him?
or if they do it'll be in a good way. >.<
or stories about failed signing skits?
haha, discuss!

ps. we would also be learning a dance. <3

Bribe him! =D Get him to wear a blindfold so he doesnt have to look at everyone staring at him lol, Dont do that, That was silly xP

You could both practice in front of family & friends then in town..And slowly build up his confidence to bigger crowds or something, or ask him why he doesn't want to do it and maybe think up of ways to overcome his fear, if he has one or something? You could record eachother and put it on youtube and get some feedback or something and PROVE he has a good voice and he should show it off to the world nodnod

the thing is, i know that he knows he's not a bad performer.
and he really enjoys it when it's just the people in JSOC.
but not at 'Geddon?

He may not like different crowds? And geddon is probably new to him so he may need some time to adjust to things.
Don't worry, I'm sure he will change his mind over time and he knows you want him to sing ^_^ At least he's not alone and you'll be with him, right? He might need some encouragement knowing him deep down he's nervous and doesn't want to do it because of that or something ~~(Usually most guys dont want to admit that xD )~~
But yeah, Stay by his side, and I'm sure he would want to do it in the end, for you especially since your working hard for it ^^

Im in the same shoes...well...not really u_u; I found a Jiraiya yet its hard contacting him DX I so want to see a Jiraiya at the ball as well ;-;

Its me and my ex at the 2008 chchgeddon skit, right at the start i lean towards him and ask "What are my lines?" Lol it was silence and then we started it off lol *had to make something up* So i dont think you will be as bad as me... And i cant believe i found that horrible..thing! i sound like a chicken DX Gah!

i ended up giving up my skit idea for last year.
i went as Miku and no one knew who she was then.
except this one guy from a video store.
o-o

it's a shame i'm not dating my Kaito.
'cause i'd like to do the "swept-off-feet" kiss at the end.
but it'd be weird 'cause we're such good friends. ):

I know how you feel...I wish i ~~was dating Jiraiya~~ in a way but things don't go the way you want them to go sometimes... sad

but i'm happily single currently.
it's much easier than second guessing someone else, who usually (for me anyway) turns out to be a completely different person from what you thought.
