Will look for images later.
This is what we learnt from thee Saturday of the Auckland Cosplay workshop~
{I'm trying to remember how you guys said things and failing, so I may have thought of what you guys said as something completely different. So feel free to completely revise what I have said. C:}

From Rowan

Resin casting-
You can buy from Gordon Harris. {I forget the names of the actual products, help!?}
Pros and cons of the different types. {Again, memory is failing.}

Make a mold of what you want to cast out of what you want. {IE, sculpy etc.}
Paint latex over the mold.
-Leave the first few layers to dry naturally as they pick up the most detail.
-At first it's white but it will dry to a brown-ish colour.
-Use a paintbrush, it will come off with water, so long as it's not dry?
The mixture can be even amounts of all three products...? {waiting for the names again. *o*''}
You need to use something thicker to mix it all in.
Fill the mold carefully and slowly to reduce the risk of air bubbles.
Be careful to prop it up properly, as if it overfills it'll add extra bits on.
I'm forgetting so much. ;-;

Wig dying-
Again, I'm forgetting the names of everything.
Semi transparent dyes are good.
Opaque dyes, clog up. {Black}
Use a spray can to spray on.
UHMMM... ;-;

From Static

Corsets-
Burda patterns have aids.
Boning should be tipped.
-Use two pliers to put the tips on the end of the boning.
Plastic boning will buckle your fabric if laced tightly and will bend badly.
You need a steel boning that won't bend and keep the shape.
Underbust corset types... FAIL MEMORY.
Your corset lacing should be a loop.
-Nylon lacing ends can be melted together.
Lacing is tied in the center.
The gap should be even all along the back.

Photography-
Obscuring the light/flash with baking paper can create a softer light.
You want to get dark tones, mid tones and light tones in a photo.
Use your background/enviroment to create interest.
Make sure things like windowsills, or anything running straight is straight.
For portrait shots, a light behind someones head, if they have darker hair and a darker background can add a defining glow.
Coming closer to the subject and cutting down on the background can improve some shots.
Take a lot of photos for every one you want.
Natural lighting can also be awesome, yo.

The resin supplier for all of New Zealand seems to be Norski. (I know there are other suppliers for stuff like fiberglass, but Norski's the stuff from Gordon Harris and other craft shops.) *has a leaflet and product list*

So I fail and still haven't written up a list, BUT ONE THING I FORGOT TO MENTION.
You guys asked me this a couple of times but I totally forgot: you protect the brush when making a latex mold with dishwashing liquid! Just get a layer of the stuff over the brush, and that lets you wash the latex off when too much gets on the brush/it starts to dry (don't let it dry!)
