Are you going to our ball, parties, etc, or just Auckgeddon. Are you an anime/manga/sci-fi fan as well as lollita. And finally awesome choice of costumes. Are you only going two days?

I am now famous for stuffing up a vest? But me a sakura only discovered that after everybody else left. For some reason people have started assuming I know everything that is going on. But Aura, Mandie_Chan and Riven_ are the CCC group mothers.

The only garb I ever made was a medieval tunic, and I stuffed it up too. But I keep telling people to "just do it" (Tm Nike) and learn as they go.

I have only joined a couple of months ago.

I kinda hope so. Of course I can't exactly find many fantasy suits in stores. Saying that if I could talk a seamstress into doing them it would be better than anything I could make.

So far I am learning 13th Century Gaelic Scots garb, so it has to look very basic, which suits me fine at the moment. They thought Saffron dye and red silk thread was the be all and end all of fashion.

So far I am just having fun, and trying to get a few thing together quickly, maybe fit into some group cosplays. Also a few I love. So easy stuff so far. Don't know if I am into much of the really out of it stuff. Looks good to me, but not me at the moment.

Yes true I think. I don't even know that there are many places you can buy it in NZ.
However if you buy fabric at up to $30 a meter.

And at least everybody matched in scotland!

Well how much do you pay. $20 seems common although you can get good stuff at $10, but not necessarily for loli dresses. Of course I have found some of the best stuff for $4 a meter, at least for my specialized purposes.

I like sales. But I also find the people at spotlight do not know what they have or anything about fabric. Also I am on the other side of town, so I try Fabric Vision first.

I also am going to track down Rod Hair sometime. They apparently have cheap fabrics.

i'm pretty good with fabric though, so usually i can get by.

Well Kutwells is on colombo St opp south city, Fabric Vision is in bath street behind south city, spotlight is only a few blocks away, and Global Fabrics is a few blocks from south city. So all quite conveinient. Of course there is a Fabric Vision near northlands as well. And a furnishing fabric place near global fabrics which is sometimes worth a look for the odd cheaper stuff, depending on what you want. But I tend to hear about the sales, including loyalty ones, cause the SCA has fabric nuts in it.

You can not do everything in life. Time/Money/Skill, etc

Rod hair as well, but good luck trying to find them open, I think you need to ring.
