Hooray! Once we get final numbers (like, a week out from balltime) we'll make a call on whether it's a houseparty or we get another venue. I prefer house, but if there are like 20 people confirmed I will have to bribe my flatmates...and I'm poor. Razz

I think more than 20 will be interested xD. We could just have a first in first serve thing. Then again, my sister threw a 30ish people drinking party at my house ... twice 8D. And my house is tiny~ I think there'll be enough space at your's.

problem with that is it will be like midnight or one in the morning by the time we all get there

Eh. I don't really drink anyway. I get sick of the flavour before I even get tipsy xD.

To me, underaged drinking is mostly a problem when it's trying to get into bars xD.

I know I'm probably stating the obvious, but please please PLEASE whatever you do, be VERY careful about putting out details of the event online, the LAST thing that you want is gatecrashers turning up and potentially ruining the event by getting out of hand and ending up with the police turning up.

If you are going to have an after-ball, make it that people need to RSVP in advance in order to get the location of the event, (if they want to bring a friend, they need to RSVP for their friend as well, or their friend needs to RSVP themselves) and also maybe make a ticket or something that people must have in order to get inside, if they do not have a ticket, they do not get inside. Don't be hesitant about calling in a security company or the police if gatecrashers DO turn up and linger outside the venue (be it on the front lawn or whatever)

I don't mean to sound pessimistic, but I have heard PLENTY of horror stories about afterballs gone bad, and thought I'd offer a bit of constructive advice.
