A lovely young lady I met today mentioned this site while we were discussing cosplay, so here I am.

Hi! I'm Arki from Hamilton.

I've had an interest in cosplay for a while, but I've never had a chance to give it a shot. Hoping to pull something together in time for Armageddon this year.

I'm not online much due to health problems, but I'll pop in when I can. I look forward to meeting you all.

Yea, "Aucklageddon".

I'm leaning towards Sol Badguy of Guilty Gear at the moment, although I imagine that'd be a pretty difficult costume to put together especially with my lack of experience, so I dunno. 'S long as it's a character I can pull off, I'll be happy.

At the moment it's either that or an original character, so I dunno. Zato-1/Eddie would also be awesome, but my hair is the wrong colour, not long enough, and I have no idea how I'd do the costume correctly and still be able to see.

Well there are hamiltonians you may be able to ask for advice from. There are also the cosplay advice threads. Just start one and ask your questions. Post a picture of the character so people know what you are talking about. Wigs if you can find a cheap one which looks similar to what you are looking at? How to see, well that depends on the costumes, without a piccy? Seraphik did a prinny costume and could see nothing. So she had a guide to her mark on stage.

good luck with your first cosplay and as Highlander said there are heaps of other Hamiltonians on here
